Absolutely love this jersey. I have found that with the right combination of layers (Long sleeve base, wind jacket) I will be comfortable down to the mid 30's. As cold as it gets in Northern Ca. I start a little cold but warm up to the point where I am comfortable and not over heating.
For the rest of the time (40's - 50's) I am comfortable in a summer sleeveless mesh and wind vest. As the temperature goes up I ditch and go to different layering system.
I would love another as washing and wearing for the past year (washing after every ride, and I commute on the bike) has caused the material to ball in areas, but the jersey is still in great working order.
It is a pro fit and fit like most all of castelli gear and the medium fits me great.

I got this base layer for the summer rides and it performs great. What i discovered is that it works even when the temperature goes down. I have used it with my long sleeve jersey and a vest in the low 40's. I found that i am actually warmer with the base layer than without. Reason, my thinking is that i am putting space (air is a wonderful insulator) between my body and jersey.
Works great in the summer too, but that is what it is for.

I use it as a neck gator from the low 40's down to the mid 30's. It works wonderfully to protect my face and exposed portions of my neck on rides. I can stretch it over my face easily. It does restrict breathing, but I would expect that when I cover my mouth with fabric.
Because it is so warm I sometimes want to pull the thing off, but taking it off during the ride is not an option unless you stop and remove your helmet. This usually occurs as the temperature goes up above the mid 40's. As happens in northern California.
