I have always used lock on grips so this is more of a complaint against any non-lock on grip. It is an incredible pain to install these grips, even with iso alcohol. Want to remove from your bar for any reason? Forget about it. Grip itself has good girth but pretty soft/squishy (which some may like) and no texture, which is clear from the picture. Yest these are all things I should have realized before I bought them and then ended up cutting them off (had to remove from my bar).

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The overall quality and tech of this helmet appears very high but I couldn't get the right fit. I tried both a medium and a large at 59 cm / 23.25 inches, which is right on the line. I have a wider jaw and longer face which made the medium a bit too snug on the cheeks (and chinbar too high) despite the actual head fit feeling OK. The large was workable but I had to tighten down the adjuster almost all the way and it felt pretty big. The chin bar system seems pretty well designed if you want to go removable. I had been deciding between this and the Fox Proframe and I will end up going with Fox as my fit was better when I tried it on (L) and the design was killer. I did not need the removable chinbar of the Switchblade but thought it was cool to explore anyway.

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 180 lbs
Size Purchased: XL

Very high level of protection but in a breathable package. Suitable for long days of pedaling. Love the location of the protective pads on the outer knuckle - right where I always bash things. Comfortable palm. Construction seems bomber. Note on sizing: would not go so far as to say they run extremely small, but if you are in between you may consider sizing up. I originally ordered size large and found the fit right on the border of being too tight. I ended up sizing up to XL which fit length wise much better, though are a bit on the roomy side through the mid-hand. Once strapped down they feel fine.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 180 lbs
Size Purchased: L 34

After owning several pairs of cheaper MTB shorts of late, the overall quality of these shorts stands out. Awesome material, design, fit, and function. Great length and right amount of baggy-ness mixed with cycle specific fit around the crotch so you won't get hung up on the seat. Best shorts i've tried, I will certainly be ordering another pair. I am 6'1" 180 with a 32 inch waist and fairly large legs/rear and find the 34s fits well and true to size - i.e. have extra room in the waist but can be cinched down comfortably with the waist cinches.

If you enjoy the feel of leather gloves and are too lazy to snow seal your own Kincos, these gloves are a very solid option. Previously I had full leather Hestras that cost around $100 and were no better than these. The Hestras fell apart after a few years of use. While I'm not sure how durable these are, they appear they might be more so. They are not the warmest glove out there, but suitable unless you are getting below the low 20s often and dealing with a lot of wind. Thus they are probably better suited to west coast maritime climates. The snow seal job the gloves come with appear pretty solid and kept me very dry during my first test day. You can find Kincos for cheaper that are almost identical as far as I can tell but then you have to snow seal them yourself. Overall, good solid gloves at a good price.

From the features to the fit, material, and function, I think these shorts are the best active shorts I've owned. They have a solid, high quality feel when picking them up for the first time; they aren't heavy but also not flimsy and cheap. The material is durable and substantial feeling but has a tiny bit of stretch to it such that it is incredibly comfortable. Most of all, if you are an athlete with larger quads / glutes relative to your waist size, you simply won't find a better fit. I've tried on every top brand I can think of and these have the best fit - in addition to what I would argue is the best design, material feel, and function.
