This is the second jersey I purchased after a much too long hiatus from cycling. My favorite vintage jerseys from the early 1980's were both Girodanas because of their build quality first and foremost followed by their great design. So--just to be up front--I came with a bias when looking for new jerseys and it did not take long after shopping around that I returned to my roots with Giordana. On my very first Silverline Classic jersey order I went strictly by the sizing chart and ordered an XL. Big mistake on my part. It felt like a race fit and ended up binding my chest just below the arms pits. Not just uncomfortable; borderline painful uncomfortable. I returned the XL and ordered an XXL along with a 3XL to do a side-by-side size comparison. While the 3XL was a true relaxed fit, I didn't care for how long and loose the sleeves were so it went back. The XXL was a great modern "relaxed" snug fit for both torso and arms with perfect length of the sleeves. Because of purchasing so late in the season and with winter rolling in I haven't been able to put it through the wringer yet, but with what little time I've spent with it I was impressed enough that I realized this would be my "go to" Spring/Summer jersey for all around riding and training. I ordered two more XL Silverline Classics soon after in different colors and am contemplating adding a fourth Silverline Classic. My rule of thumb is if you find something that you really like, and you know you'll want to wear it, and they have it in your size, you better grab it before it is gone. This I have found to be especially true in my size range. If I don't like it then I'll never be inclined to wear it regardless of the price. I really, really like the Silverline Classic for its technology and its simplistic design. I have a simple palette preference: white, black and grey. The white/black Silverline Classic is as good as it gets for me: a minimalist, simple design of white, black and grey that looks as good as it functions. I like the Silverline Classic line so much that I ended up purchasing three total jerseys in different colors. I know a lot of people often confuse low price with value. For me, the Silverline offers incredible value regardless of the price you pay for it.
