Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not the lightest sleeping bag, but it kept me nicely warm when it was -17 °Celsius inside my tent on almost 6000m elevation. We slept with 3 people in the tent and there was some condensation on the inside of the tent. My bad kept dry, even after I spilt tea on it, and woke up the next morning and didn't make it outside for throwing up (sorry for the detail... high altitude sickness....). It kept fine, easy cleansing on the outside and the bag doesn't smell funny after all the usage.
I am 5' 8'' and in the regular size me, in my thinner down jacket and my clothes for the next day, innerboots and a few bits and pieces I didn't want to get too cold all fit in there fine (contact lenses, thermos, electronics). I haven't used it on a bivy, but I expect it to be perfect for that as well. NOT for summer camping, but worth the extra lbs.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this pack for a mountain trip (with donkeys bringing up the packs to the basecamp) - everything came up fine. I like the different pockets. I use the top pocket for my laptop if I'm just going for a weekend trip visiting friends and bringing ALL my sports stuff with me. Just one bag and throw everything in there.... put it on my back like a backpack and walk (not for hiking of course!). It just really fits 95L, and it doesn't look that big from the outside...
Haven't had it in pouring rain - can't say anything about that, but there was certainly no extra dust on the inside.
I haven't locked it, but I like the fact that you can put a lock on the zipper - will prob do that on future endeavours.

I bought these for my Aconcaguatrip and I NEVER had cold feet in the higher places where it was -17° Celsius inside the tent. For European summer alpine hikes way too warm, for winter hiking / skitouring they're good for the colder days. I find it nice on those cold days to wear socks that go just below the knee... And they're indeed durable as others have already mentioned. Plus, they don't smell bad after a day of sweating in them...

I love the Smartwool socks for everything. The shorter ones for trailrunning, like these, and the bigger ones for alpine hikes and skiing. You can't go wrong with their products. They also keep well several days without washing (sorry for the detail...)
