Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs large

I was on the fence getting this jacket versus canada goose parka the biggest thing with the canada goose was that...itt has the warmth but the weight that it entails so i finally bought this jacket and hoped it would be warm enough on this frigid temps.

Earlier today i wore a fleece denali plus down 850 count mountain hardwear ghost whisperer and i was cold but not frigid cold thought that's normal bec its -9 and feels like -36F per forecast first time in decades in my area which im new anyway . I received later on the day my arcteryx sv fission and went out again and felt cold on my feet, legs, and hands but not my body without a midlayer!!! maybe bec it blocks the -36 windchill...whatever it is ...its so lightweight..nice fit and lighweight and most important super warm. i weight 130lbs and got a medium and still has lots of space.

i couldnt be happier with this jacket and just on time for the polar vortex temp.

warm for snow cleaning . I had the e-tip and my hands are frozen after cleaning the snow for an hour outdoor. This one kept me warm even compared to double gloving before with my polar tech north face plus the e-tip. size is perfect too and easy to flex and move with it. great for temperature round 5 degrees to -5 at where i am

Fit: Runs small

Bought my jacket at bloomingdales but would like to say by far this is the best jacket i have ever bought. was worried about the splurge. I have northface 850 thunder, patagonia 800 and mountain hardwear 850 ghost whisperer. But the quality of this material is by far the best , it is quite light around 2lbs but not 9 ounces like ghost whisperer but I could wear it alone. its slightly smaller as medium perfectly fits me at 134 lbs 5'4 while northface have lots of space for me on medium so i can easily go for small. I am not as worried about tears/ rips compared to the other down. I know it specifies 750 down but read their official site , it's actually for 0 to -15 degrees. Now if your going to high parts of canada and alaska then I'd recommend their parka but for the great lakes area at -15 windchill it's been perfect!
