I use these under darn tough socks for hiking. I've used them several times so far on short hikes(5 to 10 miles). They definitely add comfort as far as temperature control and friction. My feet feel fresh throughout the hike, and feel really cool after taking off the wool socks with these still on. I am considering buying more so I can layer for work- maybe I won't be thinking about getting home to get my work boots off throughout the day!

I bought these to use hammock camping for setting up my tarp in "porch-mode". They work well for this- the little rubber ends have grippers on them, so the d-rings on the tarp stay over them solidly and I don't have to worry about slipping. They are nice and solid- don't bow under pressure and grip the ground well in a variety of conditions and surfaces. Fold down small enough they don't stick out the sides of my backpack when horizontal on the outside, and I can put them inside vertically if I want. Aren't especially long when assembled, but I generally set up my tarp fairly low and close to the hammock. I think someone that likes their tarp high may be better off using trekking poles

This doesn't fit skin-tight like a typical base-layer. True to size, but can be worn as a warm, stretchy base layer or as a very comfortable shirt hanging out after snowboarding, hiking, or whatever, without feeling like a meat-head gym-rat- no gold chain required! And you won't smell like a gym-rat either due to the anti-odor control. Nice having a base-layer that doesn't look the part- or that looks like more; however you want to look at it. I've been using Burton stuff for about a dozen years now, and have never been disappointed- and I'd bet you won't either!

These are not your typical skin-tight base layer. They're looser fitting, but not quite as loose as flannel pants. I have only worn them hiking so far, but will definitely use them snowboarding this winter- they wick very well, and are stretchy, comfortable, and warm enough. They fit awesome, and don't bunch up or anything weird. Work great for sleepware when camping in the cold- was grateful for these when I had to get up in the middle of the night when it dropped into the 20s on me! Hello September in the sawtooths!

I bought a couple of these when I was on vacation just because I thought they looked cool. They work way better than they look! So i bought more here, and replaced my others. They stay in the ground- haven't had one come out on it's own, yet, and i have put them in pretty lofty soil. Also drive into hard-pack way easier than I thought they would, and haven't bent one on a rock yet, though rocks are hard on the anodizing; it actually makes 'me look cooler after they get beat up a bit. I like the head design as it holds rope very well(locks on itself). They actually pull out of the ground fairly easy when you pull on the little loop considering how solid they hold.

Bought one of these for my hammock because I got sick of tripping over tie-outs and stakes, etc. Works good because they aren't so bright that I can't sleep with them on- which is great since I can't sleep through the night without getting up to pee! Also rain-tested in Oregon, so now I know I don't have to worry about that either- so I bought another!

Love these boots! Fit like a glove! I wear size 11 1/2d and these are true to size. They definitely mold to your feet, and I didn't have any trouble with slipping or blisters right out of the box. I wore them around the house for a couple hours, then hiked that weekend for 3 or 4 hours with no problems. I like my boots snug to begin with, because obviously they break in and I don't like slipping or side-to-side movement of the boot over the sole. These are very stable and supporting- one hike had a couple sections around corn fields, and these totally supported my ankles even when I'd accidentally step on the remaining stub of a stalk; didn't take long to not even worry about it anymore! I have higher boots that don't support that well! Will be great when I go back out west and can hike without rolling my ankles on rocks. These are beefy and should last a long time, but i can't wait to see what they look like beat-to-hell!

I didn't realize I'd let my winter work boots go until the first snow this year- everything below the cuff of my pants was soaked all the way through the leather! I work outside year round and these boots have taken some abuse over the last 3 (or 4?) years. One application and they were completely waterproof except for the arch on one which I apparently didn't hit as well, but i corrected without even using the cleaner stuff again. This one pack has covered these work boots, and my winter and summer hikers; and i have enough left for at least one more pair!

Glad I got a pair of these- was hard to narrow down the choices, but between features, weight, looks, and sizing these looked like the best deal for me. Lots of adjustability, and these are both light and stiff- and the adjusters don't move on you when you actually need to catch yourself like my other brand did. Already have a foot of snow here, so looks like I'll get plenty of winter testing with these and the deep powder baskets I ordered for them. I've only used them in dry conditions, and with a couple inches of snow so far, but i like the feel, and the grips are comfortable but appear to be durable like straight-up rubber ones- they have a good shape for my x-large hands- have used them both with gloves and without, The straps are easier to adjust than I thought they'd be, but stay put as you're using them( even with my full weight on them

These and the mountaineering socks are my favorites! These are nice and tall for winter work boots and hikers- I think that helps them stay up since they are actually above my calf(and so soft). They don't want to hold sweat or water- after not getting my work boots waterproofed well enough in the arch area, my socks were still dry at the end of my day even though I could feel dampness on the inside of the leather. I have to waterproof my work boots once a year, and they did get wet before i waterproofed them a few weeks ago- but they dry super fast!

I there anything that hasn't been said about darn tough socks? Super comfy, fit great, warm, and stay up. Have hiked and worked in these, and they work great for both down to -20* f so far. I have half a dozen pair, and will be watching for another sale- other socks in my drawer seem more suitable for polishing in the garage after wearing these. Warm when they need to be, then my feet stay dry as I sweat everywhere else when I'm forced to work inside awhile.

I have several base-layer pants from different companies, and these are my new favorites! They fit tight, but are so soft and move with me so well that I don't even fell like I have them on( except for the sweet, comfy, warmth!). I wish I could just trade in all my others for more of these, but alas, my money tree hasn't grown to ripeness since my last spending spree- so will have to wait and try to ruin my others in the meantime so I have an excuse! I wear 32 inch waist, and medium fits well.

These do not snag, and are stretchy enough that I don't worry about ripping them. Look nicer than what I typically wear, so am interested to see how they fade! I have worn them hiking and for casual-wear, without washing them between- the material definitely doesn't take in dirt and stuff like traditional jeans. Enough stretch to work well with an inside the waistband holster, and still fit snug without it. I will definitely look for another pair of these next time I'm looking for jeans!

This is what I consider to be a true flannel! Nice weight and good fit- I have a hard time finding flannel that fits well in the chest and shoulders without being a tent at the waist, and this fits right. I have had heavier flannels, but they seem to always shrink up so they don't stay tucked in with activity- I don't have that problem with this one, so it actually keeps me warmer and more comfortable than most- obviously lined flannel is warmer, but it isn't as comfortable. Also like that it has different colors and is a little nicer looking than my typical lumber-jack type flannel

I kinda wished I lived somewhere warmer so I could wear these year round! Haven't had any pants more comfortable than these, but even with a smart-wool base layer these aren't heavy enough for winter here. Prana makes a couple others that work for me for winter though, and I don't have to look at anything else for the other 3 seasons. I will still be watching for another sale to pick up other colors even though it will be a couple months- can definitely see why these get good reviews. I have larger legs for someone with a 32 waist, and while these don't fit like loose jeans, they have enough stretch to not be restricting( which is important to a guy that has ripped many jeans just getting into a vehicle)

I am definitely a jeans-type guy, but was looking for something different that wouldn't end up sitting in a drawer. These work well for me, and fit well- I wear 32inch waist and can't wear anything skinnier than relaxed fit jeans due to leg size, and these fit like that. The stretch makes them more comfortable than most jeans, and definitely feel like they should be durable. I'm a hiker, not a climber(and over 50), so I won't be testing them like some will- but all my life I tend to ruin my favorites right off the bat, and I've worn these on a couple hikes and such, and they don't get snagged easily so should hold up. Love the look, and now I don't have to look like a dirtbag biker every day- okay, that may take more than a pair of pants, but I will definitely be watching for another sale on Prana pants!

I was hesitant about buying boxer briefs with this much leg because I've had problems with other brands bunching- I don't have that problem with these. I have had t-shirts made from a bamboo fabric, and these are every bit as comfortable! I now have enough for a week, and will buy more if I see another sale. I've worn them on day hikes & they perform great- I don't look to have a different opinion on multi-day hikes, and they should hold up fine for me since my shirts made from the same type material are about 10 years old now. I wear 30 to 32 waist pants and bought medium because I didn't figure I needed them overly tight with the pocket to hold my junk in place; and I was right- they fit well without being constricting.
