Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

The Montreal Down Coat is the perfect causal coat. I bought this coat for two reasons: 1. An upcoming modeling gig I have in Minneapolis this winter and 2. Colorado winters/ springs.

The fit does run small. If you are taller and slim, order a size larger.
I normally wear a small and I ordered a size medium to accommodate room in my shoulders and appropriate length for my arms (high water arms are a no-go).
I can't wait to wear this coat and will report back on how it handles the cold weather.

This jacket is rad- from its wicked cool color to the fact that it is half goose down to half synthetic. I love this half and half feature because it allows the jacket to serve as more of a soft-shell technical jacket that is perfect for mountaineering/ ice climbing/ winter rock climbing/ backcountry skiing.

When I picked my package up from the post office I was like a kid in a candy store and when I tried on the jacket I was bummed!
I am 5'8" tall and weigh 120 lbs. I normally order a small in my Marmot gear.

This jacket fits totally weird. Not good for ladies with tall, slim torsos.
The torso of the jacket in the small that I received was huge (fit like a medium or larger), the arms were too short, and the angel wing cut actually cut into my armpits and was extremely restrictive.

I like the concept of the jacket, Marmot, it's just not quite there yet.
