Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium Short

Although you can't go wrong with gortex, had to return these pants. They were tight in all the wrong places. Extremely tight from right above the knee to calves and shins. Extra wide at the bottom. Reminded me more of a ski pant. Maybe just not my style. Sizing was right on though. Ended up going with the North Face Chakal.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium Short

Bought these for snowboarding. Great fit, just enough room for plenty of movement without being too baggy. 5"8 170 and the Medium Short is a perfect fit.
Update: Over 20 days in these pants now and the area around the ankles has some pretty serious wear, probably from snowboard bindings so a skier would not have this issue. Just wore on the best Pow day in two years and by lunch my a** was soaked. Not sure if I would purchase again. For the once year casual resort skier/rider these would be a good pant. Otherwise I would keep looking.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got back from a trip to Breckenridge where it dumped for a solid week. I tried to replace my Patagonia Primo with this jacket which was a mistake. It was comfortable and plenty warm in 10 degree weather with the proper layering and the chest and media pockets are pretty nice. The front zipper and pit zippers continuously rode upward and the back length is pretty short for a ski/board jacket. I would maybe use this jacket in cold weather hiking or climbing. Over all I think this would be a great jacket except for the length and zipper issues. I would return it if I could and go with a top brand ( Arc teryx, Patagonia, Marmot) that I know would not have these small issues.
