Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I have been using this pack since mid summer 2017. It is a pretty nice vest overall i'm very happy to use and own this vest, but there are some things I would change on the next version. It truly is a minimalist vest. You can bring a lot of water on a run, but very little else. I have decided to replace this vest for the longer races I plan on doing this year due to the lack of storage for layers.
It seems to be very durable. I haven't treated it nicely at times.
The soft mesh that comprises the main body of the vest is very comfortable. My longest run with it was 28 miles and was happy to wear it the whole time. I was able to run shirt less with it several times with out any chaffing.
The small front pockets are great for gels(you can get about 5-6 in each pocket) waffles, head lamp etc.
The magnet to hold the hydration tube is a nice touch.
The rear zipper pocket is small, but you can get more in it then you would think.
It comes with a safety whistle.
It comes with a 1.5L reservoir.
CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM OSPREY IS TOP NOTCH !!!!
Cons/things i would change
No instructions on how to use the trekking pole tie down things.
The front zipper pocket is useless. When you have a even a soft bottle in the bottle pouch is nearly impossible to fit any thing into the zip pocket. If you do it viciously digs into your ribs.
My biggest complaints is with the side stretch mesh pockets and the complete waste of space on the rear of the vest . A pair of fleece gloves will fill one of the pockets and they are very hard to reach while running. The rear of the vest would the perfect place for a stretchy stash pouch.
