Dani Bernstein's Bio

Recent transplant from Maryland, I came to SLC after completing my goal of visiting all 50 states before I turn 30, Utah remaining my favorite of them all. I like to consider myself an outdoor lifestyle enthusiast. Being in a new city, I spend my weekends saying “yes”, whether that applies to a hiking/camping trip, trying out a new restaurant or brewery or floating along on a river or lake in a kayak, tube or SUP.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I haven't used these yet BUT I wanted to write a review on the sizing. In most European sizing I'm a 38 (US 8) so I didn't hesitate to order a 38 in my first pair of cycling shoes. Long story short, I had to size all the way up to a 40 for the perfect fit. Now that that's out of the way I'm looking forward to putting these to use! I will update the review as soon as I do.

This pant is awesome. In the few short weeks I've owned them I've used them to climb, hike, grocery shop, nap... you name it. They're comfortable, functional and stylish. i will say the run a bit big so I was surprised with the XS fit better than the S.

It had been six years since the last time I climbed when i decided to jump in again this past fall. This shoe has been great for bouldering in my local gym as well as venturing out for some top rope outdoors. Great flex in the sole. Comfortable (for a climbing shoe), breathable and seems to be wearing well.

I was recently persuaded to try my hand at ax throwing and with much delight, it was love at first bulls eye. So, what does one do when the want to master a new sport? They spend all their monies on new gear of course! The 20 inch handle is great for control and the steel bevel was sharp enough to stick toe to heel even in the freshest of targets. Being a beginner I knew I would need something durable for all my bounce shots. This ax has taken a beating but has held up beautifully. Definitely a great investment.

This is one of many parkas i have added to my collection this year and I was not disappointed. I will agree that it does run a little large (I sized down to an XS with still room to spare) but i love the arm length as well as where the coat hits me right above my knee. The Grey Heather pattern comes across textured but still sleek. I'd definitely recommend this jacket if you're not afraid of adding a bit more bulk to your figure (like most down jackets) and are in need for some warmth in your life.

Designed by Gearheads with functionality, durability and style in mind, this duffel is a combination of all our favorite features from the leading bags on the market. The removable backpack straps are simple to adjust, making even the heaviest loads an ease to carry and three internal pockets help keep your gear organized. What drew me to Utah was the desert and this bag held up beautifully in the rugged, rocky terrain. What’s impressing me now is the DWR finish and water-resistant side pocket (perfect for stowing hiking or ski boots) that are making this the ideal bag for taking on my first winter in the Wasatch range

I recently purchased this parka after trying to survive the last 3 months of winter in Utah with little success. The baffling is discrete so the jacket doesn't have your typical down "puffy" look. The muted olive green is beautiful neutral addition to any wardrobe. I'm really glad I went with the Extra Small considering the length of the coat. At 5'5" it hits just above the knee on me, any longer wouldn't be favorable.

I wasn't aware of this before I purchased it but this may be the fanciest tee shirt I've ever purchased. More like a light sweater material this top takes any bottom up a notch. Being someone who loves her neutrals, the rust tone was a great, warm addition to my wardrobe.i

I bought these as a gift but this is what he said to say, "If your looking for an all purpose, incredibly comfortable (feels like your walking on clouds and sand) and aesthetically pleasing shoe, look no further. I wear this shoe for everything (always get tons of compliments) but mainly my 12 hour shifts at the local organic distillery. Standing on hard concrete floors (as pictured) will tear your feet up quickly and the ultra boost provides great lateral support and arch comfort for long shifts. I worked at foot locker for 6+ years and always had trouble finding a good shoes for long shifts, these are the best ones around I’ve found in long time. Also just as a side note, if you love holding cute puppies for extended period of time like me, these shoes will give you the unwavering security of keeping that healthy habit for years to come!"

The first thing that caught my eye on this shirt was the fun neckline. I always look for basics that stand out with some unique feature without being overtly trendy. There is a slight bell sleeve, a drop shoulder and a high low hemline. The only thing that bummed me out about this top is the "black" is more of a "dark grey" so if you're looking for something dark (like your humor, soul or under eye circles) beware this will be a bit on the lighter side.
