Dan Bishop's Bio

Hi, everyone. Thanks for viewing my page. Here's a lite primer on my background and passions in life.

I'm from Sandy, Utah and grew up near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. I was very lucky to learn how to ski from a very young age, I actually learned how to ski before I knew how to ride a bicycle. I've been skiing in the cottonwood canyons the vast majority of my life. In 2015-2016, I did a season of Ski Patrol in Park City, and it was a blast skiing everyday.

In the mid-2000s my Dad and I started road cycling all around the Salt Lake valley. It was a very important and formative time of life, and cycling played a key role in my appreciation for fitness and health. At the time, the Tour de France was gaining significant popularity and it was exciting to learn about cycling and its toughest competitors. I remember looking at George Hincapie and admiring his role in competitive cycling. I met him at the 2011 Tour of Utah and we took a photo together. It was a special moment to meet one of my all-time favorite athletes.

Aside from cycling and skiing, I'm a big-time University of Utah fan, go Utes! I graduated with my BS in Economics in May 2014, and I have aspirations to pursue graduate work.

it did its job and looked good all the while. I am always impressed with the design and quality of the products by Patagucchi. The cost is often a deterrent in following through though, but the buffalo design couldn't be passed up. The sizes are usually off though too and fits uncomfortably on my ears while wearing glasses...

This suit was the game changer for me and my winter water based activities... From rafting the Grand Canyon, kayaking around local rivers, to winter canyoneering, this suit has been tried and tested. Wasnt thrilled with the neck gasket, it began to show signs of cracking after using it for a couple weeks straight and some minor stitching was noticed after putting it through the ringer but all in all a great option and i have absolutely loved the design and warmth/comfort it has provided.
Remember to use the lube on the zippers! Don't let it swamp you.

Fit: Runs large

A great comfortable simple t-shirt. The designs simplicity is a timeless forever classic. The quick drying abilities of it make it a great one for around town, school, gym, and the backcountry. I had hoped it would shrink in the wash as it does run a tad large.....but it didnt and I still have a bit of a baggy shirt.

Dont make the mistake of passing this up. If you value protecting your gear and are concerned about its longevity, buy this. It is light and will save the foot of your tent much use.
Down side to it was that it didn't fit flush, there was a couple inches play around the footprint thereby not matching up to the actual tent. This didn't effect usage or performance though...

If you are looking for a puffy vest....look no further. For the cost to fabric ratio this is unbeatable. It has a borderline ridiculous volume of down to take it to the next level of puffy. Seriously tho.... almost too much puff. Crazy I know..
It kept my core warm around the office and outside around the city... It might be a bit too much to take in the back country though.

These boots are nothing short of legendary. Same classic design that was invented by NASA engineers in the 80s, but with a face-lift that would make Dolly Parton proud. The Intuition liner is the best in the west. The stiff tongue is strong enough for my turns, and yet forgiving (by design) when I need it. Ten out of ten.
