Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My first time trying out Crank Bros and I love them. I tried some Shimano clipless pedals and hated them so I returned to flats. After having some scary scenarios in rock gardens I decided to try out Crank Brothers! I set them up with the CB's 0-float, easy release cleats and they are confidence inspiring. The easy release cleats with 0-float allow me to unclip quickly when on techy climbs. Always have the perfect position on downhills and power on the way up. 100% would recommend the Long Spindle version of the Mallet E's.

These are super durable crampons. Great for delicate, steep ice as well as mixed climbing on rock. I have the Nepal Evo's and they fit perfectly. They walk really easily too! I love the new iteration with a replaceable front point. I haven't worn through it yet, but it's nice to know that I can in the future

Light, supple, and super waterproof. I love the colors too! The grey is really light so its no trouble finding the middle marks. I really wish Petzl made these in two tone rope patterns. The perfect ice/alpine climbing ropes.

Great harness for what it's designed for; light alpine and ice climbing. The gear loops are small so won't be good if you're taking up a big trad rack. 4 ice clipper loops are strong and we'll positioned (BD clippers fit a lot better than Petzl clippers).

Sizing: I have a 34 waist and usually wear a Medium harness in other brands. In this harness I had to get a Large, so keep that in mind

Overall I really like this harness! Very light, comfortable, and perfect for what it's made for. The 5th gear/haul loop is large and perfect for extra gloves, belay devises, V-thread cord, and anything you want!

Active Shell Pant For EVERYTHING
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs small
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 190 lbs
Size Purchased: 36

These pants are really amazing! Completely waterproof! I use these pants for ice climbing and skiing. One of my favorite features is the adjustable gaiter along with the adjustable leg straps on the outside of the pant. The Gaiter slims down for when you're trudging through snow on the approach and then is wide enough to accommodate ski boots. The Leg straps on the outside bring the cuffs close to your leg reducing the likelihood of a crampon strike. The GENEROUS Dyneema-reinforced seam edges really help with those crampons as well.

I did have to send these pants back to Mammut because of durability issues. I cut and tore a few things here and there and stitched them up myself, but the attachment point for the suspenders in the back tore out. After contacting Mammut about it, they sent me a new pair hassle free!

SIZING: Beware! These pants run small in the waist. Usually I am a size 34, but the 34 they sent me was like a 32! Size up one size or even two sizes if you want space for extra layering. The Velcro closure straps on the waist will tailor the fit and bring it down if you're wearing it without many layers. I usually just wear some thermals underneath the shell and I'm good.
