Craig Turekwrote a review of Hestra Power Heater Mitten on December 24, 2018
Familiarity: I've used it several times
I purchased a few pairs of Hestra heated mittens after reading many reviews about how good their warranty and customer service was. I also own a few pairs of non heated mittens and have always been happy with the quality, so I wasn't concerned with the heated gloves since I was told everything was covered under their lifetime warranty. I had a mitten fail, filled out the warranty claim, but was told they are not covered as the heated gloves and mittens are only covered under a 2 YEAR warranty on the electronics, which is not stated anywhere on their website. After numerous e-mail exchanges with CS, they were not going to cover them and offered me a 30% discount on a new pair. BEWARE when purchasing, that no matter what the website or glove review states on warranty, they are only covered for 2 years. If you own a pair and are not sure when they were produced, look at the plug inside the battery compartment for a 4 digit number, like 1405. That will indicate the year they were produced, plugs without a number were 2013 or older, so beware if purchasing used gloves off E-bay or Craigslist. The overall quality of the mitten is good, but the heating portion is junk, don't waste your $400+ dollars on mittens with only a 2 year warranty, go for a pair that is truly covered by a lifetime warranty.
