I had a pair of these shoes, they wore out (after a brutal season of cross country that could have killed two pairs of shoes), switched to another company for the next season that lasted me half as long as the brooks. Then I got this version for my most recent season, to see they reinforced it exactly where my old ones ripped out. These lasted an entire season (i can't emphasize how rare that is for a pair of shoes with me maybe I just run like trash but who knows). I've also met people on the AT who use this shoe to thru hike and love it. Worth the price considering they lasted me where I've needed two pairs of shoes in the past.

This harness has handled everything I've thrown at it. Lots and lots of gym climbing, some mountaineering, and one or two multi-pitches. Very comfortable and very easy to adjust. When I need a new harness, I'm going to get another one of these.

Don't waste your time with weak alpine touring boots. These boots make the backcountry a blast, and I used them as my resort boots too for a while. Dropping cliffs or cornices or even a few park laps I've loved these boots every second. On top of it all these boots actually are not heavy. I've used them for mountaineering, in snowshoes, looooong tours and loooooong bootpacks, they hand everything like a champ.

I was looking for skis that would allow me to travel fast in the backcountry but also be able to rip a descent whenever I came across one on the east coast. These do that perfectly. For how light they are (I fly up skintracks now), they still rip. I expected chatter, and although I haven't gone super fast on super hard snow yet, they seem like they won't be too bad. Only reason I give them 4 stars is because although they are great all around, they don't necessarily perform FANTASTICALLY at any one thing. Its somewhat of the jack of alltrades/master of none, expect these are like half-masters at things, still an amazing ski that I would highly recomend. I use the 177 (im 135 lbs and push my skis hard and fisty) with g3 alpinist skins and dynafit radical st 2.0s, just burly enough to where I don't feel like im on nordic gear hitting sidecountry or a little resort, but plenty light for the backcountry.

These were my first pair of not absurdly old climbing skins, and I love them. Super easy to trim (took me maybe 2 minutes) compared to a friend who took a day to trim some competitors skins. Absurdly durable, I've skied down pow in short sections and hit some massive rocks beneath, only a small line in the skin where I was certain it should have torn. Also come with skin savers and wallet, which is a plus.
