The One Jacket To Rule Them All!!
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 151 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

This is not only the best climbing jacket I have used, but i can safely say it is the best all-around jacket on the market right now.

While climbing in Idaho this fall my partner and I were hit with unpredictable low temps, wind. and rain and I was so grateful to have this jacket on my back not only on the wall but also around the morning fire! When the cloud cover moved in the low temps and wind would normally make climbing on the cold granite a nightmare, but in the act of climbing and belaying between pitches I felt protected from the wind/rain and was much warmer than I expected. The jacket has awesome compatibility with helmet and harness, and the flexible material of the softshell I never restricted my movement.. Best of all when it was cold in the morning and the wind was blowing unrelentingly I layered it over my down! (pictured below) Not only does it protect well it looks good too!

I will be climbing in the MX all fall through rain and wind and snow, but I won't pack it away for the winter. This jacket is an amazing option for in and out of bounds skiing and snowboarding. With its protection from the elements, comfort, and warmth it is an amazing mid to outer layer option.

If you are looking for one jacket that does it all each and every season of the year, that looks good and keeps you outside doing what you love. Then go with the Arc'teryx MX Gamma.

I have been reaching for the pinks every day this spring season because this is such a versatile shoe. I will choose comfort on long climbs any day, and with the pinks, you get a combo of comfort and performance that I haven't seen in any other shoes in my closet. Really good for edging and slab climbing, and I could wear them all day long. If I am bouldering or trying to get the most out of a sport climb I might leave them at home, but for most cracks and long days, they are my go to's!

I have demo'd the Polar Vantage V on a bunch of my long runs this spring and have fallen in love with it! The ease of use, GPS accuracy, and bonus features make me want to take it out on all of my runs. It is super easy to use and the displays work wells showing you exactly what you need to know while you are running and getting updates from the watch.

Like most people have stated below me this pad is awesome for being lightweight and packable, while still retaining warmth and being a cold weather pad. I love backpacking in spring and fall, and in the mountains, the ground and either gets cold quickly or takes time to warm up after the long winter. This pad lets me get out on multiday trips in those conditions no problem!

I recently took this pad out on a camping trip in Southern Utah and am super happy with it. It is comfortable and lightweight which makes it ideal for backpacking! It is a lot less noisy then I remember previous models being, however it could be an annoyance for some people. It did take a little while to blow but wasn't a crazy amount of time and effort. Stayed inflated all night and was one of the best-rested trips I have had in a while!

The Union Expedition binding and the system has really impressed me this season! Super comfortable and the system is easy to use. I think that this binding is slightly clunky and a bit heavier than other brands, however, the downhill feel is worth it for me! It feels like your normal inbounds setup on the downhill which allows you to ride as aggressively as I want! I was nervous about the pin system, but it is easy and the only problems come when you have a lot of now in the system, but is an easy fix!

I am super impressed by the Norvan line of trail running shoes Arc'teryx has compiled over the past couple of years with something for every kind of trail runner, and the LD's are the perfect shoe for me! The LD is super versatile for both mid and long-distance running, with a balance between being lightweight but also extremely durable. I like how the upper material is all one piece of mesh with laminated bits, this seamless construction proves to be super durable over pretty significant wear and tear. The shoe is breathable and dries fast, and I think unless you are in extremely wet conditions the LD works fine when wet. The shoe is really comfortable, fits true to size, and hugs the heel really well. It may be a bit narrow fitting, which isn't a problem for me but something to consider if you have a wide foot. The LD feels light, there are definitely lighter shoes out there, even within the Norvan line, however, I think the extra weight is worth it when it comes to durability.

One awesome thing about this Arc'teryx line is if you want something a bit lighter, go with the SL, if you want something more rugged, go with the VT, and if you need waterproofing, go with the GTX.

If you are a trail runner running long to ultra distances I think that the Norvan LD's are an awesome option for a minimalist shoe that performs and most importantly lasts!

I was pleasantly surprised by how fun this board was all over the mountain when demoing it! Tons of pop rips turns, and floats ok in pow! If you love hitting side hits and carving on groomers this is the one! Pairs well with the deep thinker if you are in a place that has those deep days!

Took a while for him to get used to, but it is worth the effort! Booties are comfortable and durable for Pete and work awesome in the snow on long trips, salty sidewalks in the winter, and should work awesome on walks on the hot concrete. SO grateful for these booties because the snow was really keeping my dog from doing what he loves most! Non-stop running. Now he runs and plays and I don't have to worry at all

Sizing is a bit of a pain. If your dogs front paws and back paws differ in size consider buying pairs of different sizes!

Most of the time I hate when people say the phrase quiver of one but this board really is a favorite of all mountain freestyle riders. It is a bit stiffer than the regular Assassin, which allows for hard turns and charging big lines. There is a ton of pop in the board as well! I kept it on the smaller side so it is still playful and fun in the park but I am still impressed with stability at high speeds and support on turns! I wish I could give it 4.5 stars my only dislike is you take a beating on uneven terrain. There isn't much dampening on choppy groomers or when you take a wrong turn into some bumps. However, the pros greatly outweigh this one con!

Love these gloves. For under $100 dollars there is no glove better! They are warm as is but the liner makes them awesome for really cold days. Love having the option of taking them off getting on my phone and the lift and keeping my hands warm! I have been wearing them all season and haven't seen any problems with durability. Cuff comes over the wrist and keeps snow out and rubber thumb is awesome for keeping good visibility on for deep days!
