Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 151 lbs
Size Purchased: 11

Bought the VT-GTX in size 11 'cause my normal 10 1/2 felt too snug in the toes. Felt good out of the box. Wore around house, seemed OK. Laces scrunched the shoe up on the top of my forefoot but I was looking for performance, not style. Tried them out on a fairly rugged and wet 7 mile trail run. They felt great at the beginning, very grippy and cushioning. Unfortunately, the arch on them began to dig into my flat foot. The arch is formed into the shoe, not the insole, and it is very hard. They filled up with water which was expected once I got into some pretty deep puddles. By the end of the run I was carrying two water buckets on my feet and had a very sore right foot. It took 3 days for the shoes to completely dry out (keeps water out = keeps water in) after which I returned them. Shoes are very personal and I think these could be awesome for the right (correct) foot shape. I'll keep searching.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 151 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

Bought these for active use, running, etc and because the Arcteryx briefs are no longer made. Tried them on but found them to be tight and confining around the sides. Fabric seemed nice, and support was adequate, I just felt comfort was lacking. Afraid I'd take them off and have red marks on my hips or something. Considered going up a size but I think that might sacrifice the support so I'll try another style.

Bought a pair after using the capilene performace boxers and loving the fabric. The fabric was the same and construction first rate, however the fit was just too minimal for me. My cheeks were hanging half in/half out. These would work for someone that has very little mass back there. Note the medium waist fit my 30.5" fine.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 145 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

Received this item and liked the construction and feel of the fabric, however, the waist was way too large on the medium. I have about 10 pairs of medium ExOfficio give-n-go briefs so I was surprised the medium Sol Cool was so big. Returning for a size Small.
Update: Received the small Sol Cool. Seemed to fit well. After wearing noticed that the fit is more like a regular boxer, i.e. it is not snug but rather loose. Feels very comfortable but does not provide much support, fine if that's what you are looking for.
