Chris Broullire's Bio

Growing up in the central East Coast, I had a great exposure to many outdoor sports. But it wasn't until I was stationed in Washington state, with the Cascades as a backdrop, that I truly began to fully take advantage of what the mountains have to offer. I came to Salt Lake in 2012 to attend the U of Utah, and the Wasatch Mountains will keep me here indefinitely.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It just does exactly what you'd hope - show 'em where you are. They're simple, small and inexpensive enough to buy a few - I keep a set on my town bike and I keep a set in my trail pack in case I get off the trail after dark. Keeps the cops happy, too (cyclists are required to ride with lights in the dark).

Love these - I like riding in pants when I'm getting rowdy. I have DH pants for lift days, but I wanted something that would be more comfortable for pedaling. Fox nailed it. Lightweight, stretchy, but totally durable fabric will probably take more abuse than I can. The main closure with the moto-style buckle is super cool and simple, while being very easy to dial in a comfortable fit. The two zippered pockets are great for any essentials. The ankle cuff is tight, but not at all restrictive. Waist 31", inseam 34" - 32 fits great

I like these because they're all-elastic, no Velcro. They're as padded as I would want a pad to be for pedaling in/wearing all day, and they have padding on the side of the knee, which is something too many similar pads lack. I'm pretty skinny, so I bought a Small - they're a little snug around the calf, but perfect around the thigh - do I just need to pedal more often?.. I like how high the upper part comes up, too: no gaper-gap on the chair lift.

This jersey's super comfortable. I don't like full-zips very much, so I love this 1/4 zip jersey. I'm a fan of merino, and this doesn't disappoint - still good at regulating temps and dealing with sweat. The 3 pockets in back are the same as any regular road jersey, load 'em up! I wear size Medium in most American t-shirts, this Large fits me pretty well.

These are so soft they feel like they're fleece-lined, but not too warm to wear in Spring temps. 3 pockets make them great for lounging around the house, a quick jog, or that run to the supermarket when you just don't feel like changing. The drawstring is a nice touch.

This thing is SO DOPE! The tent is so sturdy I never worry about rough roads or storms in the desert. Super warm when you close it all up, and real easy to vent when it gets warm. I'm glad I got the Autana over the Kukenan with its overhang. The annex is nice when it's really unpleasant outside, but I don't use it very often. It is pretty easy to install, though. It's like having your own awesome tree house wherever you go, and it keeps the bed of your truck available for whatever needs to be in there, without having to move stuff around to make a place to sleep.

I'm super glad I got this as an accessory for my Autana 3. Keeps the sun off in the middle of the day in Moab, but still has a door to let the breeze blow through. In the Winter or in crappy weather it's nice to have an extra barrier between you and the weather, and it helps protect the tent material also.

These have a great hike mode, plenty of range of motion. Much lighter than my Scarpa Freedom SLs with the same stiffness/performance. I've taken them for long hikes all over the Wasatch, around Steamboat, and the Cascades. I won't be shopping for a new touring boot any time soon.

I got this to go in my new Tepui rooftop tent and it's perfect. Super warm, and plenty of room for two. Since the Tepui has its own mattress, I didn't get the inflatable that's designed to go with it, which is perfect for leaving it inside when it gets folded up.

Great awning. Easy to install and set up. Slides right in to the Tepui tent rack mounts, but able to be mounted alone, too. Nice and durable, and provides great shade for hot Summer days.

These are just what I was looking for. I don't ride in the Winter often enough to need multiple tights, so I got the ones without the chamois to keep them more versatile. I've used them with your standard padded shorts and my MTB liner bibs with rear pockets- they all fit great. They are still warm below freezing, and definitely cut out the wind. I haven't tested the waterproofing yet. My waist is ~ 31 and my inseam is ~ 34. Size Small is a little tight, and maybe an inch too short, but I prefer that over a little loose. There aren't many options for tights without a chamois - of the ones we carry these were my favorite.

Finally, an energy bar that you'll actually look forward to eating. Allen Lim took his time when he went to work creating these energy bars, and it shows. These are a great mix of good flavors and the nutrients you need to keep charging on the bike. When I take them skiing I keep them in an inner pocket - they do get hard and brittle in sub-freezing temps, but they don't lose their flavor.

Chris King leaves all other bearing components in the dust. This headset is the best there is. From XC to Freeride, there's nothing with King's longevity. Always rebuildable if you neglect it too long. Ultra-smooth for years. I've been building my custom bikes with King products for years because I know I can count on them to last and out perform all others out there.
