Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The three star rating is for the inaccurate product image listed for this item. I bought the dusky olive/black AK in a size small. When the order came, the size was correct but the gloves were not the color I ordered. The gloves I received were dusky olive and TAN. Disappointed in the inaccuracy. Not sure if this is a Burton issue since they supply images and item details or if the wrong gloves were picked at the warehouse before shipping to me.

Other than color they fit great, I have narrower hands and slender fingers so there's a little wiggle room, probably enough for a light glove liner. The fleece inside is soft and warm. The finger articulation is good with the index and thumb. I love how they are more flush with the wrist area, so these can sit under a jacket cuff as opposed to a gauntlet style which covers the jacket cuff.

The rating is for mid winter, not ice cold conditions. But I'm looking forward to trying them out on an upcoming trip to the Adirondacks where I'm be checking off some more high peaks. I'll return to edit function and warmth of these gloves after that trip.

Also, I tried to add photos to show fit and color but the "add a photo" interface on the mobile site is not working and never opens a way to add photo. Could be all the Cyber Monday traffic.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Size Purchased: Medium

I was very excited to receive these gloves as I ordered them to replace a Burton Gore-Tex Mitten style glove I had been using for 5+ years. The mittens had the zipper pouch for use of a hand warmer packet and I was stoked to have this newer pair have that addition to it as well. Here in PA our winters can be both mild and chaotic. During the last two weeks our temps have ranged from 8 degree mornings with temps in the teen's all day to 50 degrees during the day and 20's at night. During the colder days these gloves DID NOT keep my hands warm. They stayed dry in the snow and slush which was great, however. The screen grab liners did not work on my phone. I do have a clear screen protector in place so this might have been why they weren't compatible (still disappointed!)

When the temps were 8-25 degrees my fingertips actually lost circulation and turned white! I did not use the extra hand warmer in the zipper pouch during these cold days as I had never had to use one on my older mitten style gloves to stay warm.

The color was accurate (gray) and the style was as described. The thumbs were an inch too long and made grabbing things awkward. My main gripe is that my hands didn't stay warm. For the expense I was very disappointed. Maybe they will work better in 30 degree and up days....

I bought these shoes as a replacement for my Sportiva Katanas which ended up only lasting about 10 months. I was set to get another pair of Sportiva's and then saw these shoes in a gear shop. They are slightly more aggressive in styling, however you can't physically tell. They are comfortable to wear for long sessions after the break in period, which lasted for me just shy of two weeks, bouldering or leading 3 times a week. They handle small edges wonderfully. My footwork feels more confident because I can trust the shoes ability. The heel also is slightly more fitting than the Katana's, at least for me. All around great shoe. Would definitely fit before you buy. I wore a 38 Katana and in this shoe I'm a size and a half bigger and it's still a snug fit. Scarpa is my new go to shoe!
