Love it!

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I had been looking for a comfortably sized 2 person tent for quite a while, like in 10 months a while (Yeah, I tend to over think things). Anyway, I love this tent. It was so simple to set up and take down. The dimensions stated were spot on. I had no issue unzipping or zipping the tent doors with one hand. This is my first tent with a full rainfly and boy do I like that. My son and I took it out for an overnight in Kisatchie National Forest and we had plenty of room for the both of us and our gear. A line of moderate rain showers moved in early the next morning and we kept dry. The fly remained taught and it was easy to shake of the rain water off before packing it up for the trip home (I did set it up inside my shop to let it fully dry out before storing it away). After seeing how this tent handled the moisture versus another tent next to us with a nylon fly, the extra ounces are worth it for me. I do plan on getting into backpacking and don't think it would be too much weight for the amount of room I would have if I am on my own and if backpacking with my son or another person, it's easy enough to split the weight. Then again, that may give me a reason to buy the 1 person version :-)

Great car camping tent! Perfect for extended fishing trips with my Dad. Easy to set up- less than 15 minutes without any help, this was my first time setting it up (I am 51 y/o and 5 ft-2 in tall). Plenty of room for 2 comfortably, possibly 3 if no cots (the cot in the picture is 74 inches long). Not too sure how functional the windows will be during rainy weather, not much overhang from the fly, so I have since bought a 10 ft x 10 ft nylon tarp to string up over the fly to create more overhang. Yes, that is indoor/outdoor carpet you see ($0.44 cents/sq ft), cheap insurance to prevent a tear in the floor. Did I mention this is for my car camping? As far as the fly being difficult to install, I have always draped the rainfly on my taller tents before raising the tent. Another thing I have done is stake the corners before raising any tent, less frustration. Best price at the time. I will also be adding this review to Amazon and Eureka with additional pics. Thanks Koly!
