Compared to other insulated pants, these hit the sweet spot -- just enough insulation to warm, but not move and feel like the Stay Puft marshmallow man. Colors are great, fit is great, but I the 10K fabric doesn't feel like it would stand up to much water.

However, they really need to make this in a Medium Tall, like the Chemical pant. For a 34 inch-waisted person with 33 inch inseam, these are just too short -- 30.5 inches. Compared to the Patagonia Insulated Powder Bowl in Medium, these are 2 inches shorter. I measured them side by side.

Too bad, because I like FlyLow pants. Returning.

Wanted to like it -- great weight and mid warmth, but the fit was not right for me. Normally Patagonia Large fits me. Large size fit well but was too tight in the chest (44"). XL was just too puffy in the midsection and too long.

I wanted to like these -- 3L, light, 100% recycled. Green color is terrific, the ripstop pattern is great and far better than a plain weave. The cut of the legs is not too bulky nor tight; not too bell bottom-y. Material is very, very light and only moderately crinkly noise for 3L Gore-Tex pro. Legs are on the long side for a medium (about 33 inseam), in a good way.

However, the fit wasn't right. The backside / back of thighs looked like a baby diaper unless seated -- just too much material. Also, the top of the back bunched up so that there was an opening of 2 inches off the lower back, which defeats the purpose of a bib.

Second big issue: The zippers (other than the fly) are coarse (large teeth) and frankly they are terrible. They close with difficulty, even the leg pockets. I had the same zippers on some Marmot 3L bibs, and if the teeth are under any pressure, they won't zip.

Finally, I agree with other comments about pocket location -- no one wants anything significant right on top of the thighs, where these pockets are located. I have Arcteryx pants with the same location, and it is endlessly annoying even inbounds.

If they sold these in pants I might buy them, but the powslayer pants (vs these bibs) have different face material (non ripstop), seem significantly heavier, and the colors for pants are not great (blue, grey, orange).

Returned.

For the price ($250), just not that great. There is no way to adjust the waist -- just has an elastic waistband. For this price you should have velcro, a string, even a belt loop. The medium is too big if your waist is 33" or less -- they don't stay up. Hard to believe they didn't add any kind of ability to adjust the waist.

No hand pockets. No crotch zipper.
The ankle pull ties just bunch up the fabric around your ankle.

Better to go with the Mountain Hardwear Compressor Pant or the Patagonia fly fishing pants over these.

Blue with maroon looks exactly as pictured. Nice color.
Totally waterproof. Definitely stiff and crinkle-y loud.
Fit is perfect for me with or without a mid layer. Too small for use as a ski coat due to length and chest.

Large size chest limit is 44".

Great raincoat (but pricey compared to others).

Very tough outer layer, great colors. Definitely a heavy jacket for a shell.

The cut is fairly long, no issue with the sleeve length like others indicate (I have 34" shirts).

Fit is definitely on the smaller side only due to high and narrow armpits. I went with an XL and I still wish the coat had more room in the armpits (44" chest should not be that tight in XL) especially with layers. The XL leaves a lot of midsection room for trimmer people.

I have yet to find a good use for the second zip at the collar , and the roughness of both zips at the collar is very annoying. On a cold day (~5 F) they can rub your nose raw. There aren't proper zipper garages and protective fleece/rounded edges. update: if you leave the second zipper open, it works like a neck gaiter but away from your face.

Otherwise, high quality and very burly outer fabric -- would take a lot to rip it.

I've had 2 of these. They really do work as advertised -- thin, warm, works when wet, and correctly sized. 5 stars for function.

The two issues are:

1. The cut is very boxy. Think rectangle.
2. For some reason it always looks wrinkled, tired and pseudo dirty. These 2 items makes it look cheap and slippery (even though it functions well).

I find down jackets more breathable. This jacket can feel like you are wearing a garbage bag.

Solid construction, good pockets, good zippers. Fit is spot on and not too loose. 6'2 185 lbs = Large. Bib is light and works well.

Complaints:

Waist snaps open way too easily. Doesn't matter in bib mode, and there is a velcro closure behind the snaps so they don't fall down, but they should be harder to snap/unsnap.

Very loud material.

Update: snaps driving me crazy. Will try to replace the snaps with aftermarket snaps.
