Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these for my brother and he absolutely loves them. He transitioned from a traditional groomer ski, so these wider, lighter skis were a huge improvement. These are great all-mountain skis; They grip courdoroy really well and can float on those great powder days. He is 6'2" about 205 lbs and went with the 178 which was perfect for him. He cannot say enough great things about it. If you're looking for a versatile, everyday ski, you can't go wrong with the Cochise.

I bought these for my brother. He is 6'1" 195 and rides the 188 on the candide mount. This ski is a ton of fun. Light, poppy, and playful. It rides well on hard snow, smooth transitioning edge to edge, and it was fun the one day I took them in powder. Out of curiosity, I think I'll remount them at some point on the all mountain line to see how they ski.

I purchased this as a gift and he loves it! it's comfortable, lightweight, and warm. The r1 is great as a light outer layer on warmer days or as a midlayer under a shell or jacket skiing.

I bought this for my friend's new baby, and it is so freaking cute! They live in Chicago, and it is definitely warm enough to brave the harsh winter! The design is easy and functional. I would definitely buy the size you think your baby can grow in to rather than buying a smaller size. It's roomy enough to layer under it and the hands fold back. Highly recommend this if you're looking to keep your loved one extra warm this winter!

As always when buying a new set of skis, I was worried that they would require some time to get used to. I was so pleased when I immediately adjusted to the Black Pearls. I was previously skiing on Volkl Free Luvs, which I loved, but the Blizzards are more playful, especially when carving. They rip on groomers and stay afloat well on the few powder days I've had them, which is exactly what I wanted in a ski. One of the biggest changes I noticed is how easy they were to maneuver and react to quick turns. The responsiveness makes for fun skiing. If you are looking for a versatile all-mountain ski, please consider these, as I know you'll have a great time trying them out. I see myself skiing on these for most days out of the ski season.

I love my Smith I/Os goggles, and I did not want to stray from the style. I did need to update my lenses, especially for those really sunny bluebird days. The ChromaPop Sun Black did just the trick when trying them out on one of these. I also bought a new pair of ChromaPop Storm Yellow Flash ones, which always make a significant difference on those low-light days. If you haven't used Smith I/Os before, they are extremely easy to pop in and out, which makes skiing more enjoyable when you have the correct lenses in for the weather!

Great, stylish goggles. Great in low light and snowy conditions. Easily adjustable and comfortable foam around the face. They fit great and didn't even leave a funny goggle mark on my face. Really happy with the purchase. New googles are a life-changer!

I usually order a size up in Patagonia vests, and I ordered a medium in this one. I could have probably made a small work, but the fit seems OK. I have worn this to work, while skiing, and out to events, so it's very versatile -- you can dress it up or down. I think the black color makes the medium appear slimmer, so if you buy a brighter color, perhaps order your usual true size. All around great vest.

This jacket was a last minute purchase, but I have found I've worn it so much more than I anticipated. It's lightweight, the color (bear brown) almost resembles canvas/khaki, which I love. The hood is warm, with the added cushion, but do know that the jacket itself is rather light. I usually layer with this style, making it pretty versatile to dress up or down. I've received many compliments on the look.. My height works well with the adjustable waist, so keep that in mind as well. Cute jacket to add to the collection if you're obsessed with jackets like me. I got a small in this jacket for Patagonia, which fits perfectly, but for their quilted pullovers and vests, I usually order a medium.

The pants are great for anyone looking for a slimmer-fitting ski pant. They fit snug, but not too tight, and they’re very warm. A little longer than typical ski pants, but not too long. I highly recommend this pant.

After reading several reviews, I finally made the decision to invest a bit more in these mittens. I'm so happy I did, as they truly are the first pair that have kept my hands warm in the coldest temps (0-15 degrees F) while skiing. The leather makes them durable and the wrist length helps protect cold air from getting in to the glove. If you ski often, I highly recommend making the jump to Hestra.

The coat is very high quality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile ski jacket or one to go out in cold weather cities. It’s a lightweight shell, but keeps you very warm. The fitting is perfect if you're looking for a longer ski jacket. It's a more flattering style -- not baggy at all and more of a tailored fit. The hood is an added plus, as there is plenty of room when wearing your ski helmet. I used to ski in a Dakine Jacket, which was great, but the hood was too restrictive when wearing my helmet, so the FlyLow is much better if this is important to you.

I tend to layer a lot while skiing, so I wear a tank top under base layers like this one. The fit is perfect for what I prefer -- fitted but not restrictive. The larger turtle neck is great and does not get in the way when layering with other pieces, like vests or smaller down jackets. It's a great piece to add to the usual round of base layers for active skiers.

Not an expert on bindings, I relied on several other recommendations before making the decision to go with Tyrolia. I had bought new Blizzard Black Pearls (98mm waist), so the 110mm was a perfect fit, and I love the color. I've skied these now on groomers and in some medium powder, and they are smooth and not too stiff for my type of skiing (intermediate/advanced). Great binding, sturdy -- highly recommend.

The coat is very high quality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy shell for skiing or a casual jacket fit to stand a night out in a cold city.. It’s a lightweight shell, but keeps you very warm. I bought this for my brother, who found the large hood convenient, as we were skiing in snow several days and it fit over his helmet. He also wore it out to dinner as a jacket to wear over a fleece.
