Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very disappointed in these gloves. I can brave a chill, but after wearing these fresh out of the box for half an hour in 22 degrees my fingers were painfully cold. They feel cheap. They look cheap-nothing like the marketing photograph. And while I'm a huge fan of the brand, I do not at all recommend these gloves. I think Arc'teryx is a fantastic company and own a lot of Acr'teryx gear that completely satisfies, these gloves simply leave me scratching my head. Backcountry was very gracious about my returning them for an exchange. (Should note that my purchase decision hinged largely on the Backcountry Gearhead's recommendation, which I've just now noticed was submitted in July.)

Recently purchased a large, and threw it right into the wash on warm, then wore it until it dried. Fits me perfectly. The wash makes the knit more dense, which is how I like my sweaters. It's true to Dale's high quality. Looks great - endless compliments, really. There's a drawstring at the bottom, which I didn't know until unboxing, and I love it. I own a lot of Dale sweaters, this is now my new favorite. Worth every penny.

Just ordered a pair of these shirts. Loved them the instant I unboxed them. Very form fitting with absolutely no bunching. Quite warm as base layer in 10 degrees, but have also tried at the gym and wasn't overheated. Soft fabric makes for good lounging. During hard workout doesn't seem to absorb a lot of moisture...I didn't get core chill on a rest break in the wintery woods. Highly recommend.

Stiffer than anticipated, but no sacrifice in flexibility or comfort. Great wind stopping capability. Very warm. I reach for these on really cold days. Have held up great in the dryer on high heat (best litmus test for any gear, imo) Very durable construction, suspect these will last a very long time.

Bought five pairs of different lower base layers from five different brands, and these are by far my favorite for urban excursion, work, walking the dogs around the block on a winter day, or loafing by the fire. Very soft and very comfortable, but heavy enough to beat back the cold under a heavier fabric like Fjallraven slacks. Have held up very well in the dryer on high. Size Large fits perfectly, 5' 10". Of all five, these are the one's I'll be ordering more of. Absolutely a great investment.

I was in the market for liners, and these are a tad too bulky to fit under a glove, but not a shell. Great construction. The added weight does well to keep hands warm on a quick trail blitz in 30 degree weather. Seem fairly durable. The pads on the fingertips are not touch pad capable, fyi, or at least don't work on my AppleWatch. I would say they run small. A medium is too tight for my average sized hands, so I donated them to my son's growing collection of cool gear I didn't manage to size properly for myself. Definitely worth the money. And seem as though they would last several seasons.

Was dubious at first, but have tested these boots in bitter cold snow, sand, and slippery waterfall scree. It's super light, too. No unraveling. The insole has remained in great shape despite the miles. Love 'em!

Super comfy, warm, just the right thickness to wear with nothing under it. Snug on an athletic frame. Never been big on flashy graphics, but the sleeve art is nice, reminds me of the old Lifa pattern. So far appears to be very well made. Definitely recommend this product.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Returned this product bc it's too big for day tripping or short excursions if you only want to bring a light jacket and a snack and water for you and your pooch. But it was very difficult to let go of...absolute work of art. The tapered seams are really quite excellent. Will be ordering a smaller one. Decided to write this review bc it's been somewhat difficult to figure out what size is right. So, for those similarly challenged, I'm pretty sure I could fit five days worth of summer clothes in this pack and still have room for a deck of Rex Bars. Suggestion to Backcountry - showing all backpacks on models would make the purchase decision easier.

I'm not a big hat person, but absolutely love this product. It's very well made. Very warm. Practical. Lightweight, great compression capacity. Warm! But my favorite feature is that you can pull it down over your head and wear it like a neck gator, and it isn't too bulky. Also, looks very cool. I gambled on the greater expense for the waffle iron insulation lining and am not disappointed. You need one of these, yes you do.

Thinner fabric than it looks on the marketing shot. But fits snug and looks great. Can't go wrong with marino wool. Very well constructed. Definitely very black, as opposed to a dark slate gray which is what I see on my macbook screen.

I bought black, something slightly dressed up for casual day at the coworks space. Did not anticipate how comfortable. Now have bought the white too. A bit more than I'd normally spend on a shirt, but well worth it. Good looking, breathes extremely well, and light.

Very durable lightweight fabric. Water repellant. Good structure in the fly for concealing your body part--a lot of shorts don't hide well. So I bought a second pair. I'm 5' 10", bought a medium. Plenty of room. Lots of pockets, some sized just right for a iPhone. Quite sure these will be my faves. Highly recommend.

Ordered a Large, and is a great fitting shirt for my 5'10" frame. Love it! But nowhere on the Backcountry website was there indication of the HUUUUGE green swix logo stretched diagonally across the back. Wouldn't have bought it had I known. Amazingly comfy shirt, however.

Bought these for my eleven year old boy who hates layering. He loves this set, reports that it's very warm. Even wears them around the house on snow days. Good solid construction. Great price.

Weather pod reads -18 windchill today, but I speculate it may be colder. Put on three upper base layers (1 light weight fleece long sleeve, 1 medium weight fleece long sleeve, and one medium weight fleece vest) under this BDaehlie top, and was toasty for hours in the elements. Couldn't believe it. Went inside, left all the layers on and am not overheating! Surprising. Went back outside with the dog, toasty warm. There's some sort of a double fabric in the front that repels everything, good ventilation under the armpit but not too much. The grippy waistband is helpful as usual. Always have good things to say about this brand, and here again the product is outstanding. There's a pattern on the shoulder that's reflective which is nice too. The fleece lined collar is loose enough for my base layers. As for size, everything I've bought of this brand fits extremely well, so it's probably relevant to mention that my build is trim athletic but not bulky, and all my BD tops are a Large.

Very light, just the right tight, the jointed bill is awesome in high winds so it doesn't fly off. Great color. High viz reflective beading a real plus. This is a good hat. Good quality.
