I recently got this Orvis Recon rod in a 3wt for some smaller mountain steam fishing I have planned for this summer. I've been out with it a handful of times now and it's quickly becoming my new favorite rod! It not only casts with precision accuracy, but also always give you such a gentle lay on your dry flies. I love the dark green color of this rod, it is super lightweight, feels great in the hand, and most importantly loads so perfectly. Also, it has a lot of power for a moderate-fast 3wt rod, so you'll still be able to take advantage of those long casts you want to throw. I have it paired with the Hydros SL reel by Orvis as well, and it's a combo that cannot be beaten. Overall, such an awesome rod by Orvis, and can't wait to really put it through the wringer this summer!

I recently picked up this Orvis Hydros SL Reel in the [II] 3 - 5 wt. I have taken it out a few times now, and was super pleased with how well it performed. It's such a cool color, I love the large arbor style of it, it retrieves line so quick and smooth, and the drag is top notch! Thought it would be a little smaller because of getting it in the II size. However, they are serious when they say it is a super large arbor reel. I really like the size of it though, and I think it is perfect. I have other 3-5wt fly reels and they are so small, almost too small for my liking because I like a nice even balance. I can't wait to really put this reel to work this summer with some high mountain stream fishing. Overall, awesome reel and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great all around performing fly reel!

This Montana Fly Boat Box is great for heading out on longer float fishing trips when you are looking to take a lot of flies with you. It holds so many flies that it's crazy! I don't think I will ever fill it up completely, but I am definitely going to do my best to do so. You are also able to toss in an additional center leaf (not included), but doing so adds even more fly storage room! Love the colors it comes in, as well as the snap lock features to ensure that it stays closed. Overall, great boat box for the fly fisher that has tons of flies and wants to keep them safe all in one place.

The Platypus SoftBottle is such a great little travel style water bottle. I love how packable it is, even in the 1L. It is extremely lightweight, and you can roll it right up and toss it in a bag without even knowing it is there. However, I find it not quite as durable as the Platy Plus bottle by Platypus, because it is more of a plastic material than than rubberized (like the Platy Plus is). I really like the twist top lid feature on both bottles through. I just don't trust the Push/Pull caps when full with water and in your pack with a lot of your valuables. Overall, awesome travel bottle though, and would highly recommend!

Great little lightweight rain cover for any Osprey pack. It is extremely packable, and easy to toss on in a hurry. I always keep it accessible in case of a pop-up rain storm when hiking/backpacking with my Osprey pack. Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to ensure everything inside their Osprey pack stays dry when out and about with their Osprey pack!

The Osprey hydration reservoir is an essential to me when I am out there backpacking. It's a great hydration reservoir to use with just about any pack, but especially great paired with an Osprey pack! I toss it in the back of my Aether AG 60 and off I go. I have it in the 3L because I like to do a lot of weekend/overnight trips with it. It can get a little bit heavy when full. However, if you are trying to travel with as little weight as possible I would probably look into the Osprey LT Hydration Reservoir. Overall, awesome hydration reservoir and it does the trick for always keeping a few liters of fresh water right on hand for you for those multi-day trips.

The Lifestraw is something I always keep with me whenever i'm hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. Water is a necessity and you want to make sure that you always have a safe way to drink it in a pinch. It is very small and compact. Therefore, super easy to toss in a backpack to always have it handy when outdoors. Would definitely recommend to any outdoorsman/woman, especially for those longer multiple day trips!

This Sharkwave Ultimate Trout line by Scientific Anglers is awesome. It casts great, floats perfectly, and mends super good as well. Great for delicate presentations, but also nice for those long casts. I love the texture of the line, and the subtle zing noise it makes as it slides through the eyes of your rod. Overall, really nice line and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to throw some dry flies with great accuracy, but also is looking to toss a good amount of nymphs as well. Lastly, the three tone color scheme is a really cool touch. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions at all on this fly line!

I got this Dakine Cruiser bag for my mom for when she travels. She loves how versatile it is, and how many little hidden pockets it has throughout it. Very packable little bag, and she said it holds all of her little travel items that she likes to bring with her with ease. Overall, great little travel bag and great quality from Dakine like always!

Fit: True to size

I got this as a gift for my Mom for the winter, and she loves them! She loves the material of them, and how durable they are. She also said that they are the perfect thickness, so they always keep her hands nice and warm in the cold winter mornings. Overall, awesome warm and durable gloves; and she loves the grippy palm surface of them and said it makes them so great to drive in!

I got these gloves for my girlfriend for Christmas and she loves them. She wears them just about everyday whenever we are outside going anywhere. She said they are the perfect thickness for those chilly winter days. However, they do seem to run a little big, but overall great everyday glove!

Got these Prizm lens for my Flight decks because I needed a good all around color lens. I went with the Jade Iridium and they are so sick, and the flight decks are super easy to switch out the lens on. It is crazy how much contrast and color they bring out in the snow compared to just a regular lens. They block out just about all of the sun, and make low light days so much easier to see bumpy terrain. Overall, awesome lens that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great lens to bring out the contrast in the snow, block the sun, and not have to deal with any fogging!

This is an awesome Soft Shell jacket for those warmer spring riding days! I have used it a few times on the couple of warmer days that we have had so far this year, and it worked perfectly for me. It is a great waterproof and windproof shell material. This jacket did seem to run a little small to me. I almost went with the Medium basing it off of the size chart, but I am very glad that I went with the Large in the end; because it does seem to run a little tight in the shoulders. So if you have wide shoulders, I would definitely recommend sizing up. Overall though, awesome lightweight soft shell jacket that is great for those warm spring riding days out there on the mountains!

I got this Osprey pack to do some backpacking this summer, and haven't gotten to use it quite yet. However, this pack is going to be perfect for what I am looking to use it for! The Medium fits me perfectly! (However, it is always good to get your back measured with an Osprey backpack measure to ensure the perfect fit) This Aether pack is so roomy, the LightWire frame is so comfy/supportive, and it's crazy how nice it forms to your back. Overall, this pack is awesome for someone looking for a nice spacious pack to do some hiking, camping, or backpacking with. It doesn't move around at all on me, and it's crazy how many pockets it has to offer for everything you need to take with you on your treks!

These Burton Concord Boa boots are so sick. To me they are the perfect all around boot. They are super light weight, perfect medium stiffness, extremely comfy, and awesome (secure) velcro on the top of the tongue. I also love the double boa lacing system because it allows you to adjust both the top and bottom of the boot, so that you can get that perfect tightness you are looking for out there on the mountains. Also, these boots fit super true to size. I wear a size 11 shoe, and the 11 in these Concord's fit me perfectly. I heated the moldable insoles, and after about 2 days of riding they fit me absolutely perfect. These boots have a super comfy footbed, heel cuff keeps your heel down security, and new england rope lacing system is super strong yet forgiving. Overall, crazy nice boot and soooo worth the price, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect all around Medium stiffness boa boot!

Finally found a pant that meets everything I was looking for! These Oakley Arrowhead pants are super warm, waterproof, comfortable, and have the perfect baggy style fit. They offer tons of pockets, and the adjustable waistband on them is such an awesome feature. Fit super true to size; I wear a size 32 waist jean and I went with the size Medium. I do not have one thing negative to say about these pants. Super stoked on them, and would highly to anyone looking for an all around awesome ski/board pant.

I got this sweater as a gift for my mom and she's crazy about it. It runs true to size, and fits her perfectly. Great sweater to be able to pull on quickly, and it is super comfy! So simple, but yet very stylish. Patagonia makes awesome products, and seems to never disappoint. Would highly recommend .

I've always rode Union bindings, but these Super Force's are the best one's i've had so far! They are a tad wider than my old Flight Pro's so it makes it so nice to get your boot in and out of. Also, the ankle are toe straps are so comfortable and supportive. It's a super responsive binding, and the high back may look higher than most but it's a normal height high back. Overall, sweet binding that is great for anything from Park riding to All-Mountain. Would highly reccommend!

Got this jacket for myself because it was time for a new one, and I'm very happy with my choice. This jacket is great. It's so warm, and super waterproof and breathable. I've used it several times now, and it has been great every time so far. It kept me very warm even on a couple of super cold days that I was out. Overall, this Quicksilver Tension jacket is perfect. I love the variety of pockets, all of the vents, and especially the snow cuffs on the sleeves. It's an awesome looking jacket, and everything you could want in a ski or snowboard style jacket for an awesome price!
