Bryanwrote a review of Vuori Kore Short - Men's on September 29, 2017
Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size
These shorts are awesome. I'm tall so they're about six inches or so above my knee, which seems like the perfect length: they're not restrictive and you don't have to be the guy wearing the short shorts that everyone is laughing at. Plus you feel that much cooler when you run by the douche in the tiny split shorts.
The inside liner is perfect. It's thin, light, breathable and supportive. I have a pair of lululemon running shorts and I feel like the liner on those are strangling my guys and causing my ass to sweat an ungodly amount. The Vuoris aren't like that at all. It's like a liner you don't even know is there.
And speaking of sweating, I sweat quite a bit and I'm an ultra runner so most of runs tend to be at least ten miles. When it's hot and I'm running hard for over an hour, I'm gonna sweat up the front of my running shorts (obviously I would not be wearing a shirt). When I'm my Patagonia Strider Pros or some Nike running shorts and I sweat up the front of my shorts, I feel like my junk is just on display for everyone to see. The shorts just plaster themselves to my body. It's really not a good look. The Kore Short has a much higher saturation point and ends up looking a lot more like board shorts when they get wet (i.e. they leave a lot more to the imagination, especially up front).
And despite all the amazing functionality, these shorts look great too. I just bought two more pairs. I wish I would have tried these sooner.
