Great shoe but...
3 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased these shoes in August 2017 and have used them for ever ride since. These shoes took about a month to break in. For the first bit my feet would fall asleep and go numb and cause me to stop riding to loosen the laces and let my feet come back alive. It is hard to find the balance between tightening too much and having it too loose to avoid heal lift. Most likely just a poor fit for my foot shape. Shoe platform is stiff and great for pedaling but a bit too stiff for me when you're forced to hike a bike. The soles and stitching has held up really well but the shoe laces and shoe string holes have torn through making the shoes unable to get tight enough now.

Overall these are a great shoe and have served me really well but I wish Five-Ten would add grommets to each shoe string hole to avoid the laces tearing through.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have used this pad for backpacking and bikepacking. It is by far the most comfortable sleeping pad I have used. Previously I had been using a foam Thermarest pad which was great for using and abusing. I like not having to worry about popping it but it wasn't very comfortable. I also had a inflatable Thermarest which was comfortable but didn't pack down small. This pad strikes a good balance between what I look for in a sleeping pad. Primary concern is comfort- with it's quilted design it is very comfortable whether you sleep on your side, stomach of back. The inflate valve has a slick feature to fine tune the insulation of the pad so as to make sure it's not too firm or too soft. Second most important feature for me is packability. This thing packs down pretty small, definitely not the smallest on the market but good enough for me. About the size of 1 L Nalgene water bottle . My third focus is durability. I have been pretty gentle with the pad so far, making sure I am not setting it up on anything sharp that might pop it. Only time will tell but the thin light weight material has me concerned about even a pine needle popping it.

I am 6'5" tall and the regular size 20"x72" pad is enough for me.

Love this hat. Wool on the outside and fleece lining on the inside make it a warm and cozy hat for those cold storm days. Snow doesn't like to stick and freeze to the outside wool so it stays dry and keeps my head warm throughout the entire day.
