Fit: Runs large

WARNING: this sweater runs not just large, but runs massive! I generally wear a Large top and especially for a chunky over sized sweater I like it to be big and cozy. I know that Free People usually always runs really large so I after reading other reviews I thought I would take my chances with ordering the Small. I ordered the small and OMG its still a large over-sized sweater - ha! The small still covers my bum and still has plenty of width. The Small is actually the perfect look I was going for so it turned out well, just really funny. (I want to order this again in a different color but only the Medium is available and I am questioning if it is worth it). I LOVE this sweater, but gave it four stars based on the sizing issue. So if you plan on ordering this just be aware and size super down! Other than the odd fitting, this sweater is so freaking cute, the perfect knit and weight, not itchy at all, and is the perfect fall look I am going for!

Just like Goldilocks would say... this cooler is juuuuuust the right size. Especially if you utilize Yeti's ice packs and do a thoughtful food packing job, there is plenty of room for one-three nights worth of food storage in here. The key is to keep beer and beverages in a separate cooler which I usually keep in one of my soft coolers where ice storage is less critical so you can keep your food properly stored. Another great thing about this cooler compared to other Yeti's coolers is that I can actually carry this one! If I use any cooler that is fully packed and bigger than this I have a really hard time carrying it on my own! Now I definitely wouldn't recommend this for large families and/or week long trips, but for an individual, couple, or small family out for one to three nights, this is juuuuuust right.

Boyfriend Approved

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Gifted these to my boyfriend (on the right) because he is always trekking through water, but refuses to wear sandals - so these shoes were perfect! He took them out for the first time this weekend where he used them to hike through the Escalante river on our backpacking trip. One of the best parts of using these sheos to trek through water is that the sneaker style gives you toe protection when walking through rocky streams. And you don't have to worry about picking pebbles out of your sandals every five steps! When we moved out of the water, and back onto the main trail, the shoes drained and dried super quickly, although he did change back into boots for the bulk of the trail on land for more ankle support. However, for quick hikes, float trips, and general wading by the campsite, these sneakers would do just fine! I am glad that we found him something that he likes so I no longer have to worry about slipping around and breaking his ankle while wearing crocs (like his friend on the left - ha!) Overall, great review and especially for the men who don't like to wear sandals.

If you're an ultra light backpacker but can not sleep without a pillow, than this pillow is perfect for you! I was so impressed with how well this packs down! It's the smallest pillow I have seen so far. When packing in by backpacking pack, I stash this pillow in my little wine tumbler. I found that I am more comfortable with this pillow when it is not fully blown up so I like to leave it a little deflated so that it is not so tall and stiff. The size of the pillow also fits well in the hood of my sleeping bag to prevent it moving around. And lastly, the little divot in the center of the pillow is great for side sleeping.

If Goal Zero were to say good things come in small packages, they would be referring to their Lighthouse Micro Flash. I was seriously impressed with the brightness and usefulness of this tiny little lantern/flashlight. I found this item to be the perfect lantern to bring along backpacking. It can be easily clipped to the outside of your backpack and is perfect for hanging at the top of the tent as a lantern.

At first I loved this bag for the four-wheel spinner wheels, because once you get spinner wheels you can't go back. And then I loved this luggage for the cup holder?! So clever! AND then, I loved this luggage for the internal and removable office organizer! This little internal organizer is genius! You can load it up with everything you need: book, ipad, speakers, pens, notepad, etc. and then you can quickly remove everything you need for the flight and then stash the luggage in the overhead bin, and then you can quickly load everything back in when de-boarding.

So much yes!

Took this rain coat out for this first time and what do you know? It rains all night! Luckily the whole squad was ready to go with our new Uinta Rain Jackets!

I love the overall design of this rain jacket - after wearing it for a few hours I never felt like I was overheating or getting that steamy feeling you often get with non-breathable rain shells while its raining. The internal material was very comfortable. In addition to being fully waterproof, the material is also very durable making it great for outdoor environments.

You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design of this jacket which I think is really awesome! 1) the velcro strip on the cuffs was very narrow which I like so that other material does not get stuck on it or anything. 2) the pit zips are double zippered, similar to a ski jacket, which allows you to adjust just how much you want to ventilate. 3) the jacket packs into itself into the chest zipper pocket (I think this detail is missed in the tech specs). very happy surprise! this made it great for bringing along my backpacking trip. 4) the extended center back length and the fitted waist adds coverage and is much cuter than classic boxy rain jackets.

Love these pants so far!

The material is incredibly durable. I wore these pants for a day of trail work on one of Backcountry's Adopted Trails and these pants past the test after a full day of work! I like that these are more durable than my standard leggings that I usually wear hiking which make them great for handling tools and getting dirty on the trail. One thing that really stood out to me was it's quick drying tech! As I started to work up a sweat on the hot day, I was starting to get worried that the sweat might show through the pants and they never did! And then when I would stop for a 5-10 minute break, the pants dried up super quickly! I was super impressed! Lastly, the waistband is incredibly comfortable and so is the stretch material, and the pockets fit a phone comfortably while moving.

Two years later...

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Going on 2+ years with these shoes, and still love them! As i mentioned in my original review, these shoes are slightly narrow through out the arch and toe box - so I recently removed the insole and it totally fixed my issue! By removing the insole I was able to create more space while still keeping the perfect length fit. After a couple years of mild trail running, backpacking, and going through snow, mud, and river crossings these shoes are going strong!

spacious!

I love marmot tents because they are so easy to set up! I used this tent for this weekend on an overnight backpacking trip and it saved me lots of weight which helped a lot when the trail was so steep! I used the three person for myself, a friend, and a dog, and it worked great and held our gear comfortably with plenty of space. Unlike other UL tents, this gave us plenty of head space as well, while the walls went straight up, unlike other tents where the walls can start to angle in leaving you little head space. This tent is definitely a good choice if you are looking for something UL while also looking for comfortable space to hang out in if you need.

These wheels are a literal GAME CHANGER! Yeti's are heavy as is, and then when you add ice, food, and beers, etc... they get really heavy! Being able to tow around this cooler with wheels makes life so much easier at the campsite. No more awkward and painful waddling or finding a partner to help you carry the cooler. You got this one on your own!

Beginner Winner
5 5

I am still a fairly beginner climber, and I have been using these shoes for the past month at our works bouldering wall while participating in our works bouldering league! So I got to use these shoes everyday for a month straight. From day 1 to day 30 the shoes felt super comfortable and consistent. I think i got lucky in that these shoes fit my foot straight from the box. while the length was perfectly fitting, i felt the body and toe box of the shoe was wide enough to keep me comfortable while still feeling agile. I had a great experience with these shoes!

Beginner Winner

I am a beginner climber and generally prefer bouldering, however my team decided to go out for a day of climbing so I obviously couldn't say no! I am a beginner climber, so don't have much experience wearing harnesses but what I do know is that this is a comfortable harness! Not only was it comfortable around my thighs while standing and such, when I put weight on it when i was coming down, i was still super comfortable and supported!
I am on the wall climbing in this pic - with the hot pink harness :)

I used this bag while traveling for Outdoor Retailer for two days and two nights. I used this as my carry on item and was able to fit enough clothes for the two days, with additional lounge wear, and an extra pair of shoes! It also comfortably fit my toiletries and work necessities. While attending the show, I took out all my clothes and used this pack to walk around with during the day to carry all my essentials for a long day walking around the show! The organization in the pack was very helpful when organize work essentials with general clothes, toiletries, etc. I would definitely recommend this for a quick 1-2 day trip.

Water proof

Got to test these out this weekend through some snow and water run off the trail.. these help up so great! The trail was very muddy and I was stepping through lots of run off streams, and then the last half mile was full snow pack. The grip held up great through the snow going up hill (as best as they could with out any micro spikes) and my feet were pretty much totally dry by the time I got back to the trailhead! VERY impressed!

Using the Jazz sleeping bag was my first time sleeping in a rectangular, non-mummy bag, and it's awesome!!! Comfort wise, I slept so much better as I generally like to sprawl out my legs this was awesome! I used this bag on a few outings, on one night that was particular cold I had a difficult time staying warm because cold air was creeping in through the sides, however when I got to use this bag on the warmer nights it performed perfectly and I love that I could unzip both sides and let my arms out. It is going to be really hard for me to go back to sleeping in a mummy bag after this!

You really cant say anything negative about the R1 pullover. The Polartec grid fleece is light against the body and keeps the sweat off while you are active -- I have been wearing this hiking in cool weather and it has performed great and dries quickly after sweating. I like the tall neck because it provides extra warmth so I don't have to wear an additional neck cover. I am usually between a medium or large top depending and after trying this on in both sizes I found I like the medium better because it fits comfortably under layers and keeps me warmer.
