PreCip Eco Perfection
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 220 lbs
Size Purchased: XL

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I wore this jacket snowshoeing, day hiking, around town, and on a 5 day backpacking trip. The Marmot PreCip Eco quickly became one of my favorite jackets for several reasons. The first thing I enjoy about this jacket is the fit. I am 6 ft 1in 220 lbs with a muscular build and the XL fit me perfectly. I am typically between a L and XL, and the XL was definitely the right choice. It leaves me with just enough room for an additional layer without being to bulky or baggy. My first experience with this jacket was while snowshoeing. I appreciate that it has pit zips to help keep me cool. The fabric is also breathable and will not leave you sweating unlike other jackets. My second experience wearing this jacket was on a backpacking trip. It drizzled lightly during this trip, and the NanoPro Membrane kept me dry. I would like to test this jacket in more rain to see how it holds up. In addition, I liked how light and packable this jacket was while backpacking. One nice feature is that it packs down into a pocket. It easily fit into my pack without adding unnecessary weight and bulk. This jacket has held up to everything I have thrown at it. After several adventures, this jacket has shown little to no wear and tear. For the price, this jacket is going to be hard to beat. The fit/feel is great and the Aztec Gold looks amazing. I have had several compliments on it.

If you are looking for a lightweight, inexpensive, and durable rain shell, the Marmot PreCip Eco is an excellent option. This jacket is ready to come along on all of your adventures!
