Familiarity: I've used it several times

The camelback part of it is great. Enough water to last -almost- a full day of climbing (though I should probably drink more water...) and the zip compartment for the valve is really convenient. I got this pack specifically for days on the wall (multipitch) because it's small profile and doesn't have a waist strap. My climbing partner has a bigger pack to bring food and first aid stuff, that would never fit in this one.

Downsides... the wide straps rubbed against my shoulders and caused some irritation after a day or two of climbing. The front pocket also doesn't fit an iPhone 7+, which is more my fault. Fits the smaller sized iPhones just fine. I throw my phone in the same compartment as the camelback so it works out fine, though.

Best harness I've owned!
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I first got this harness, I will admit I was a little skeptical. I've had lightweight harnesses in the past, and hanging in them kind of sucked. The leg loops would dig into my butt and the waist would become quickly uncomfortable. Not with this harness!

It's slightly padded and perfectly designed to distribute weight so that nothing digs in. I wanted to wait to review this because I just got back from Potrero Chico. I spent many hours at hanging and semi-hanging belays in this harness while there, and I still love it (the picture included is at one of these). And yes, it's super light-weight!

I also really dig the gear loops. I previously had a harness that had gear loops that stuck out slightly. I never really had an issue with them, but I love how these gear loops sit against the harness. I've also got a Metolius SafeTech which has similar gear loops and I forgot how easy they were to clip and unclip on. The plastic covering is nice too. They do look a little small at first, so I wouldn't recommend this for a trad harness, but I was able to fit a ton of quickdraws (carried 20 at most) and whatnot on it for my trip.

Some people said the sizing runs small, so I got a S. I'm 5'2" and about 110lbs, but I think an XS would have been better for me. I have it fully cinched in the S and still have a little extra room.

Last thing - a few weird things about this harness. It closes on the other side. No big deal, just different. It also has the "No-Twist" belay loop. Not going to lie, I tried to use it once and hated it (it was tough to get the carabiner where I wanted it, and I couldn't twist my belay device to sit comfortably in my hands). So I just ignore it - it doesn't get in the way of anything.

I love these because they're built comfortable, but climb aggressive. The rubber is SUPER sticky and the shoe is very sensitive, so you get a lot of feedback from the rock (which helps me trust bad foot holds!). They're definitely best for slabby walls with tiny to non-existent feet, but they get the job done in all situations. I'll climb with them on steep overhung routes too, but I prefer something a little more aggressive. I've used these extensively in the gym and outdoors.

As for sizing, they were a BIT tight when I first got them. They don't stretch that much because of the synthetic leather, but they molded to fit my feet perfectly after a time. I wear a size 6 street shoe, sized down for a performance fit. I think ordering at your true size would be fine though, I don't know if the "performance fit" is really necessary with these.

These are my go to pants for any sort of climbing. I'll probably end up buying a second pair to rotate out. They're a little long in the leg, but that's probably because I got the regular length. These pants are so comfortable, and I can layer thermal leggings underneath for climbing in colder weather without restricting my movement. I could have gone down a size, but it's not the end of the world as they have a tie on the inside.

This jacket is probably the best purchase I've made this year. It has a flattering fit, it's super cute, super light weight, and actually keeps you decently warm. I've been using it for fall climbing (low 40s) and it keeps me warm, but not sweatly. It also fits perfectly under a harness. The sleeves are a little long for me, but it's easy to roll them up once and it doesn't look weird.

These carabiners are pretty light, which is nice when things start to add up. I've been using them for my PAS to clean routes recently, and pretty much every time when I'm ready to rap down, the screw is jammed. Maybe it's just me over tightening it, but I've never had this problem with another carabiner.

At the end of the day, they get the job done, but I'll be switching them out.
