Anyone know if this has a shelf bra? Thanks!
Hi! This is me.
Anyone know if this has a shelf bra? Thanks!
Got size large, seems to be best fit for me in Norrona. It's snug, which I like - it gives me a "contained" feeling. It's not too tight to make me have a headache. Super soft inner. It's a thicker beanie but it does not overheat. Quality made, which is something I really put a lot of critique into. I haven't yet washed it, so nothing to report yet on how it washes/lasts in that regards. Hope to do that soon (thus the 4 star). Highly recommend. Got a green with blue logo. Does NOT look like what is online photo. It is a grass green, not a light neon green (I did purchase mine elsewhere however). When I did purchase the Orange Crush from Backcountry it was like a light light mellow tangerine, and not the bold bright orange the online photo showed. Just an FYI. I did like the orange crush, just wasn't what I expected.
I bought & returned this product 2 times each (LOL), and am actually considering to buy it again. WHAT I LIKE: 1) love the mesh (neckline and on back), 2) slightly dropped arm holes (so it’s not a tight fit to give me a rash cause it’s close to my armpits), 3) the silicone grippers. MY PERSONAL INTENDED USE: 1) casual/lounge wear. NOTE: as previous reviewer stated, it is true, this has no lining or shelf bra and thus no support in the sense one would think of from a sports bra. I would classify this as a crop top, but maybe it depends on your chest size and intensity of activity….. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: (it seems like I'm the only one on the planet with this issue): the neckline is too flush to my neck and is really uncomfortable for me. It’s not “tight”, it’s just too close to my neck. To put in context for you, I cannot wear a t-shirt or even base layer tops that are crews, because of this. So, keep in mind this is particular to me. It may not be for you at all! I am glad for the previous review, it helped me a lot, and I hope mine can be helpful to someone out there. Give it a go!
I have discovered Meridian Line since browsing at BC and I LOVE this top and brand. Super super soft material. I LOVE the artwork - done by hand, and I have fallen in love with " Bird Babe". So, pro's: super soft, crew neck has room and not flush with my neck, love the colors (even though slightly sheer), the tee moves well with my body. I ordered a larger size so this is loose on me. I think think a fitted style would be great too, and hope to try that in the future. Con's: I haven't found any yet. I have yet to wash this and I hope that it holds up OK. I intend to line dry. I do hope SO much, that BackCountry keeps Meridian Line tops. It's awesome that BC carries them! Don't stop!!
I feel it runs true to size - I have enough room that my feet are not stuffed front to back, but have some space. Two things that will lead me to return these (no matter how much I'm willing them to work :) is 1) They are not wide enough in the forefoot for me (reason for 4 stars). I would venture to say these are NOT narrow (probably are a Medium), and are most likely like most running shoes. However, I am finding that my feet can't do the regular size anymore, they need more room. The tightness is the sides of my forefoot. I don't think going up a 1/2 size would make a big difference for me personally. 2) There is some space in the arch area where the shoe is not flush on my skin. Only thing that might be affecting it is that maybe my forefoot is so wide that it has stretched the instep out. My feet are quirky. I like the toe box shape (rounded). I really liked the lightness of them, the breathability capacity, the comfort level (high cushion). But because my feet are too wide for them I have to return them. I would recommend these though! They are worth giving a try!
Hi! Does anyone out there have a take on how this fits? Like: true to size, runs large or runs small? Thanks!
Super lightweight, is see though very much. A muscle type tank top for certain. Hangs/drapes very nicely on me, despite my smaller chest (it's not nonexistent :) The medium fit fine on me, but to give myself a bit more coverage even when wearing a crop top underneath I went to a small. Still a muscle tank and great for showing your choice of under garment - be it a bra, crop top, halter top, etc... I will be honest, I'm not so sure how long it will last, just because I've never owned a top this thin before. I think that I will be washing in one of those net bags you can get for your bra's. I am hopeful and depending on this top to be perfect for my over heating body, come spring/summer. I love the design and shape. It does not fit flat against your lower body (at least in my experience), so it's a nice flow-y top. There is a lifetime manufacturer warranty on this, per BC, which gives me hopes of it lasting a while. Plus I love the material which is MicroModal. Recommend for casual and active pursuits.
Okay, so keep in mind this review is coming from the point of view of utilizing this top for everyday living/use - not an active pursuit. I would think that as a climber or hiking this top is built brilliantly - from the way the seams are sew not "on the shoulder", to the thumbholes, to the breezy flow, to the drop tail hem for extra coverage (and nice feminine look). I'm kind of picky with my necklines (don't like crews that sit flush with my neck, I like a bit of a scoop, and I don't really like boat necks, for whatever reasons not relevant here). The material was brilliant, so soft, and Stoic is a super nice brand and well worth the money and investment IMO. This is an ideal top for active pursuits. Just didn't like the style/fit on me. I would encourage others to give it a try and would definitely recommend it. Runs slightly large, depending on how fitted or how loose you want it, you may have to try a size or more. I am usually a medium, but sized to XS and it wasn't tight AT ALL, but I think I would have liked it more if I'd gotten the Small. Hope this helps a little. I don't have much of a chest so I have to be careful on scoop necks or it's just like I'm opening up a tunnel for people to look down when/if I bend over. I've tried a few other of their tops in this line (or is it only one other...I forget) and it's a very nice top in regards to material and function. Looks like it's selling out fast, which is a good sign! Hope you find it suited to your liking!
Anyone have a photo of the top view so I can see the toe box and the area where the arch is? Or can anyone comment on these two specific things? Thank you!
Almost embarrassed to say how many times I've bought and returned and bought and returned this top. I have tried several sizes (small and medium, I know the large would be too large in the chest, and the XS would be toooooo small :), thinking it might just be size that's my issue and I've come up with nothing. I think it's just my body build and the design of the top: the under arms (no matter what size) rub too much (towards the front underarm). This top is beautiful - the design is brilliant, very soft. Lightweight but not see through (I haven't tried the white though...). I highly recommend anyone giving this top a try cause it may just be your favorite new top! I just wasn't lucky on this one. I can't really comment on if the sizing is true to fit or not. This review would not be a reliable source for that info.
I agree with Zoe with her nicely done review of this top. All of what she says I agree with. I only found it a tad too see through (for me). So, I think it depends on who you are and what type of fabric you really like to wear. I returned mine due to price (I bought full price) and the see through. But it's a super super lovely top and would be so great, like Zoe says. I may actually buy since it's on such a good sale right now :)
This is soft, comfortable and such a lovely all around design. I like the cap sleeves, the bottom hem shape and I'm not sure what it is, but I really liked the scoop neckline on this top, on me. I bought on full price and didn't feel it worth it so I returned. On sale I would say go for it! It's unique, great for many occasions/styles. I have a smaller chest and the small fit me best, while also draping on me in the way the photo shows. I'm not sure how to say if the sizing is correct or not. I tried both a medium and a small. I could have gone with medium, but the small fit just a tad more nicely.
Very comfortable, soft, don't realize they are on (is that a good thing?!) The tags are a bit too much - I actually haven't gone to the effort to see if they are cut off tags. I can update you later. Breathable, wicking. I love these. They have lasted well with my many washings. I'm not sure about sizing. I am a Large in some others and in these the Large would have fallen off. So, I'm not really reliable for that info. Hopefully someone else comments on that!
I don't know if this is good or not, but a majority of the time the colors of a product can really influence me to purchase or not. I am not really in love with the colors Marmot has right now. I know that it's hard to meet everyones preference so that's like impossible and not their fault (IMO). The shirt quality seemed excellent, well made, not thin (or not too thin), the length, the thumb holes, scoop neck and shaped hemline really were what I liked a lot. I think in the end I just didn't like how it fit on me (or the colors - they make me look more pale than I already am!) Note**I've kind of had some issues with Marmot before (like not feeling like the fit on me worked very well), so maybe my body type is not matching up with their designs. So please don't solely go on my review of if you'll purchases or not :) I think Marmot is a fantastic and reliable brand. I would recommend this, I sensed it met all the feature descriptions and would be so soft to wear.
Small fit me excellent except bust as my chest is like not really very much there (LOL). So, it hung on the top part really too big for me. Very soft material, I think the color is as pictured (I got the Cerise and love it). I really like the shaped hemline - I don't so much go for straight across. This can be worn for casual and active and all that.
I would have kept these, but I just didn't feel like they would last as long (as I wanted) for the price. These are thermal and so are sleek on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved the wide waist and the reflective properties - really nice. They move with you very nicely. I usually have to size up in PI, but this one the Large was too large, and I ended up with a Medium and Small and the small fit the best. I'm short, have short legs too. The length was fine for me, I didn't mind a bit of bunching. Hope to hear what other people have experienced with this, if they use it. Please share as this is a lovely product!
Haven't used it, but initial impressions: I would venture to say that this top runs a bit large. I'm generally a medium or a small and according to waist and hips measurements from Stoic, I was a medium. The chest was way to big for me (I think I have a 33" bust), and thus the scoop was too low and just generally not a good fit. I traded for an XS and the sleeves are a bit tight for my liking, but I'm thinking actually they will not remain that way, and it's minor. I might be OK in a small even. I might try that out. I'll report back if I do :) Color as expected (Spearmint and Regal Purple). Could be worn for sure what it's meant for, but also is awesome as a casual top because of the feel/look of the material and also the nice feminine design/drop tail hem. Spearmint is slightly see through. On the thinner side. Any other specific questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best :) I'm very hopeful about this, Stoic has seemed to be a good product in the past.
Well made jacket. Color is as shown in image (IMO). I love the extra length in back, the chin guard for the zipper, the waterproofness, and wind resistance (I have not actually put these to the test). Also the wrists - there is soft shell protection all the way to the end and then it has a stretch thumb hole section that is brilliant by preventing any drafts. The hood is brilliant as well - it covers your entire head and the reflective properties are in great places and work. Trying on at home this seems to run a bit small. I got a small initially and with just a t-shirt it was a bit constraining when moving my arms around. So I went to a medium. For this, it's good to use any layer you choose, depending on your body temp and weather (light, mid, heavy weight). I plan to use this for walking and daily commuting (via public transportation). I don't believe this is supposed to be a "solo keep me warm jacket". I believe it's part of the "layering system". Hope this helps someone out there :) I highly recommend giving Showers Pass Rogue Hooded Jacket a try and see how you feel about it yourself! Thanks BC for bringing this product on.
I wanted to try a lighter weight Rab jacket. Continuum actually has kept me as warm even in wind/breeze! Of course it keeps me warm (almost too warm in the 40’s), but it has kept me warm in the teens and 20’s (F). Mind that I’m using this jacket in the city as I don’t have a car so I do a lot of walking and having to stand and wait and walk in bitter weather in Utah. I’ve been able to wear light-heavy weight under this jacket (small is what I purchased). If I wanted a more “fitted” look I would have gotten an XS but then the under layers might not work so well. I also can wear a shell (another brand) over this. What I really like is 1) the cuffs on the wrists are elastic and not the adjustable kind. This just keeps the cold out automatically and the sleeves are NOT exactly as long as my arms, but slightly longer, so it’s great (I don’t have feedback for those who have long arms). 2) The zipper hand pocket are nicely placed and my items in the pockets are safe from falling out (the zippers are vertical). 3) feminine look, 4) BEST is the warmth - A+++++++ 5) second best is the abrasion quality - it looks like and maybe feels like a delicate jacket, but this is rugged without being like steel. It’s brilliant!!!! 6) Hood is large and covers your whole head and comes down over your forehead - which is a miracle as many hoods seem to not do that. I have become a Rab supporter and highly recommend their products - for quality, endurance, life-time functionality is as stated from Rab. Price is an issue most of the time for me, but I will say that for some brands, Rab is it’s every penny worth it.
I've mainly worn polyester fleece like hats to keep my head warm in Salt Lake City with temps in the teens and up. I was not sure if the wind would blow through this (like it would be too thin), or even if it was up to keeping my head warm while also having a nice style. I didn't want just for style. With a warm torso and feet (coat and boots), this hat keeps my head warm (no seeping out of warmth, from my head) in 30's F, in the city. I have hair that is past my shoulders, not super thick. It does goes cover my ears - I was able to pull it down to cover my ears, and not look like a "skull" cap. The interior fleece band lining really is SUPER nice - it's about approx. 2" wide, so it's a good width to keep itch free and provides soft warmth. This was a good beanie choice for me, as I am broadening my normal beanie choices. I am very pleased, and find it to meet up to my expectations. I have not washed it yet. It does say hand wash, and I would say this is how I would wash it (or put it in one of those mesh bags if doing in the machine). If I'm mindful of the care I give it, I think it will last me at least a season if not two. Hope this info helps someone!
