I bought these this past winter because Volcom is one of the few companies who tailor to taller individuals. I normally wear size 34Wx34L pants. I bought these in a XL. They are a great length but a little large in the waist. The waste is adjustable so I cranked down on those and wear a pair of suspenders with them.

Overall I'm happy with the pants. They're breathable and the keep my legs warm on cold days with the help from my own insulating base layers. During ski touring I utilize the vents and I appreciate the zippered pockets which are good quality.

We just had a pretty cold winter in the northeast. Lots of snow, lots of weather. I purchased these gloves in December after I was pretty happy with my pair of Hestra Henrik Windstedt gloves. I was originally concerned these might not keep my hands as warm as a traditional full mitten. I was wrong. This had lots of protection from the elements and always kept my hands nice and toasty - even on the coldest, windiest days.

I remember one day in particular, when the wind was blowing 30mph+ and the temps were in the single digits, my brother had to bail because his hands were freezing meanwhile my hands were completely unfazed by any of the weather conditions.

The only thing I'm upset about is never owning a pair of Hestra gloves before this year.

It's a huge two-person tent. Vertical sidewalls, vestibules and hooks for hanging lanterns/etc. all make the tent that more comfortable. As someone who is 6'3" I have plenty of headroom and space to move around.

Probably a little too heavy for backpacking, but overall very little complaints.

Big, heavy, solid binding that you can absolutely rip in. I have zero play in between my boots and bindings. If you like to bomb down groomers this binding is a no-brainer.

No serious complaints, but some of the paint on one of my heel pieces chipped off a bit. No telling when that happened but it's purely a cosmetic issue.

I haven't utilized the WTR tech because I have on-piste soles for my Scarpa AT boots, but it could be a convenient feature for others.

I used these gloves all last winter. This is a great glove for most of the days throughout the ski season. They're comfortable and have great dexterity. I also really appreciate the leashes. They're Hestra so you know they're well-made but they have a high price tag to go with it.

I just wouldn't recommend them for days in the low single digits.
