Andrew Brook's Bio

Hello! My name is Andrew. I am a skier. I absolutely love the snow and would live in it 24/7/365 if at all possible. Alas the snow is here year round so I try and occupy my time with biking and running instead. I have lived in Utah for 9 years now and don't think Ill ever leave!

These shorts are perfect for any summer day. Wear them on your morning bike ride, then or your river float and then to the barbecue later that evening. I will agree with the statements below. I don't like the mesh lining on the inside but all I had to do was cut it out.

I got the top loading 13" sleeve for a little extra protection while in my backpack. It fits a 2017 Mac Book Pro 13" perfectly. It slides into the laptop sleeve in my Chrome Industries bag perfectly. It's really well built with a great zipper on top. I like the fact that mine is unique since it was made from a piece of recycled billboard. I ordered the cool color and got a light blue color with a bit of white on it.

I got this for my dad for fathers day. It was a hit, He loves it! He assembled it super easily the second after he opened it. He recently crashed on his bike damaging both his hip and his bike. This will help him get his bike back in working condition while staying off his feet.

It's built well, super easy to assemble and is a great addition to any shop or garage work space.

I got these for a 27.5 shell and the fit perfectly. My old liners were wearing down too much and it was time to replace them. I picked these up because they are their stiffest resort side liner. They recommend that you take these to a boot fitter because they are pretty finicky.

My dog has a love/hate relationship with these things. As she has gotten older her pads have become more sensitive to cold and ware down very easily. I picked these up mostly so she can come with me when I trail run or ride the bike. However she has been using them the last few weeks in the snow so she can finally play in the snow again. She doesn't like putting them on so she often tries to wiggle out of my grasp when she notices what I'm doing.

Measuring was fairly easy. Just put your dogs paw on a piece of paper and lift their opposite paw so that the one you're measuring will splay out. Mark how wide the paw is and then measure that distance.

This is a great little filter. It goes head to head with the MSR miniworks but is 1/3rd, sometimes 1/4th the price. While the miniworks has a better pumping action the way the filter and how well they filter are the same. This also has better range of use. It can be connected directly to a water bladder or a Nalgene or into any other sort of bottle.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I personally use an Exped pad so when I went to get my brother a new pad for Christmas this was the obvious choice.

While the pad is insulated it is a great all season pad. He was looking for something that would work all year round and was smaller than his foam pad. This isn't the smallest pad you can buy but it does pack down fairly small. It is insulated to it is important that moisture doesn't get inside. The hand pump helps with this.

Make sure you let it self inflate for at least 24 hours before use or it might now insulate properly.

My brother is 6'1" and 175lbs and the LW is the perfect length and width.

If the amount of reviews by employees here at Backcountry doesn't tell you something, it should. We have a huge selection of gear to chose from and get to try almost everything out. Year after year this binding proves to be one of the cheapest yet most reliable freeride/all mountain binding on the market.

It's now been made even better this year wit the addition of the Sole.ID toe allowing rockerred sole touring boots to be used with this alpine binding.

I ordered these fore a second time as a gift for my fathers new skis for Christmas. So far he loves them.

These shoes are great for city running. My one complaint is that the footbed took much longer than normal to form to my foot. They probably took 20-30 miles to break in to where I wasn't feeling pain in my legs as a result of my feet not sitting in the shoe correctly.

Other than that they are a great shoe and I would still buy them again. The black on black looks very nice and I like the minimal amount of boost in the heel and toe. I wear a 10.5 in my street shoes and a 10.5 fit perfectly in these.

I went a long time with out running for exercise so when I started running regularly again I found that I often had knee pain half way through my run. These have helped cut down on that a lot. They also help with muscle soreness in my shins afterward. They're very insulating but could be more wind resistant in my opinion. I also use them for skiing and I've noticed that I can ski hard much longer before I start getting muscle soreness.

I'm 6'2" and 200lbs and the large work perfectly. Remember these don't go on like normal pants and are supposed to be very tight.

These shorts are great! I ordered a 34 and while the waist fits fine they are slightly tighter than I though they'd be. The pockets are big enough to be able carry my phone, gum, wallet, keys without them feeling to tight. The pants are soft and somewhat waterproof. I've used them for about a month straight now and they show no signs of giving up on me.
