Amy S's Bio

Utah has been a great place to live... such great proximity to everything you could need from the outdoors! I love to take weekend trips whenever possible going canyoneering, ice & rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, or snowshoeing to a mountain yurt. I also study rocks, so don't take me for granite ;)

I haven't really been the person to buy into the whole Arc'teryx brand, but I got this chalk bag and really love it.

Pros: GIGANTIC size to hold plenty of chalk and get both hands into it. Bag closes nice and tight to avoid leakage (old bag leaked like an old faucet). Big pocket in the back to hold trinkets like cell phone and/or candy. I like the thalo blue color as well!

Cons: price tag.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got this for my Marmot 15 degree Teton bag. I ordered the 15 liter size and it fits my sleeping bag well. Stuffs it down enough that my bag will easily fit in the bottom of my backpack. The stuff sack is very light and I was scared that it was going to rip! So far it's held up, but we'll see how long the material lasts for.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got it for my cousin as a gift to wear while skiing under his helmet. It does well under the helmet, but on it's own is definitely very short. Coloring is incorrect in the product picture for metro heather/bone heather. Item is cream colored on one side and is gray on the inside like the picture that hegaveitall posted. Great for under the helmet though!

Fit: True to size

Great little jacket to have. I got it to use for running, and it worked in the current cold weather with just throwing a base layer underneath. Moderates temperature well and the bright color (Oasis Blue) helps pesky motorists see you. Will have to see how it handles in the other seasons.

Great durability

I love me some chacos. What's great about them is that you can wear them to school, around town, hiking, on the river, and (if you're a geologist) with socks! I always bring them with me when I know I'll be hiking in and out of the water, or with some heavy mud in-between. A lot of the time I get lazy and just put my big ol' toe on top of the toe strap instead of through it.... much easier to do on the single strap then the double strap. You can wear these shoes for years and the sole will hardly show the wear.

If I could, I'd give this pack 5 stars as I love the way it fits and distributes weight. I like the cushioned hip belt with pockets to fit your camera, chapstick, etc. It also fits a TON of gear, so that's never an issue. The 2 drawback are that the brain doesn't transform into a daypack and that there's no side access into the main compartment. Other than that, love this pack!

Bought this bag and wasn't sure how well it would perform (given the low price). So far, haven't had a leak. The material doesn't feel super durable, but I usually have it stowed away in my kayak where it doesn't rub up on rough surfaces. Also use it in my pack when canyoneering to keep a dry set of clothes. So far, not a drop has gotten through! Great job OR :) I will have to comment later if the durability fails

I bought this product because I needed a low-profile shoe to be able to fit in my itty-bitty kayak. They do a really good job at gripping rocks when I'm out of my boat exploring/scouting rapids. Easy to take on/off. Great purchase.
