MICROFLEECE CHIN GUARD & REINFORCED EXTENDED COLLAR at work
I spent the first 22 years of my life in Maine indulging in all the beauty and activities the pine tree state has to offer. The lure of the big mountains brought me westward in 2009. Skiing and fishing are my passions and I'm out on the hill and on the water as much as possible. I'm also taking advantage of camping, hiking, biking, SUPing and other misc activities Utah has to offer! I hope you all are living the dream and getting outside with other life loving people, I know I am!
MICROFLEECE CHIN GUARD & REINFORCED EXTENDED COLLAR at work
Much needed if you wear any low profile shoes! I love these things for my vans. No show but you keep your shoes freshie inside.
I love my Chacos and my boyfriend was in need of a good boat/water shoe to use when fishing and guiding out of his Clacka. I told him to look no further than Chacos. These things are the best. They grip in and out of the water, dry quickly, and are durable. They are versatile with enough stability to hike in but giving enough to where they grip rocks or whatever sort of foothold you have to leverage from when rowing. Don't ignore the hype, people! These things are worth their weight in gold and you will never regret snagging a pair for your next water endeavor.
I put true to size on these since he normally wears an 8.5-9.0 and went with the 9. That said, depending on what you are into you could want more or less material under your foot. Where he is constantly in/out of the boat and can risk stubbing his foot and also needs a solid platform these do fit larger on his foot. If you are looking to use these more for hiking and just as a recreational water shoe, feel free to size down for a tighter more streamline fit
stoked on this car camping pad! Have only used it a couple of times but initial impressions have been awesome. This thing is plush! My only regret is that I got the regular, it was a bit slim for my preference and now wish I had gotten the large since weight/size isn't an issue. Overall, great pad! comfortable, self inflates (for the most part) and looks to be a durable piece for glamping on trips where I dont have to pack it in
I was stoked to see these came in an XS. I have loved my other wet wading socks but they were always a bit too bulky with extra material. With the XS I get the fit and performance! These kept my toes warm in all the summer water I was in. No pressure points and great fit. Recommended for anyone looks to have a sock that will last and work out on the water during the warm months.
Need a Classy shirt, Guys? Look no further than the Revival. This shirt fits true to size and has a great classy cut. Wear it with the collar buttoned down for formal or unbuttoned for casual. Looks awesome tucked in or free flowing. Overall, snag this shirt if you want something you can dress up or down. The longer cut looks awesome open but will stay tucked if needed.
Sizing is for my boyfriend*
when cutting limes for Coronas on the river! Thankfully that's all its been used for. This thing is burly. Not for the faint of heart by any means. They do make a co-pilot that I recommend more for a permanent PFD fixture since it isn't as big. This remains close at hand by the sticks if needed and will do the job if the time ever comes to cut a rope or fend of a predator.
See whatcha need and keep it dry! After using clear dry bags, why would you use anything else? Save vital time on the water knowing exactly where your "must remain dry" goodies are at. Bought these in both 20L and 30L and they fit so much stuff! I'm considering getting another to use for my tent. Highly recommend these!
Got this for my Pops for his 58th Birthday and he loved it! He has yet to put it through the ringer but initial impressions get the seal of approval. He has been fishing his whole life so hes picky on what he chooses to wear. This fit true to size and is an awesome material. Its warm and beads water and is a great fall/spring piece. Could also work as a layer in the winter as well!
Hungry for a ripping Powder ski? Look no further than the JJ
Some people say change is good, others say why change a good thing?. I'm going to stick with the latter. I have had a good 5+ seasons on the JJ and have no plans on stopping. Other than beefing up the tail (made it a bit stiffer) and a bit less taper on the tip, this has remained unchanged.
This thing is all you need in a pow ski. Its floaty, stable, turns on a dime, and is one of the most stompable skis on the market. I havent yet snagged these for this season but was fortunate enough to demo them this past Winter (Will post pictures once these babies are mine) Overall, I cant imagine a ski arsenal without these bad Larrys. If you want a ski that will handle great days as well as maybe the not so glamorized slush, crud and corduroy days, look not further. If you maintain the edges you can lay a brag-worthy turn on the groomers as well.
Overall, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the JJs and all the great days I've had on them. If you want a ski that will hold its own and be a damn fun time, snag these skis.
Great vest for anyone looking for the safest and highest performance paddle/row jacket in the market. On the Green river, it is required that you wear a PFD. This is a great option due to the breathable back and the open fit. The design means material wont get in your way when you are constantly working your upper body while taking a beating from the sun. The overall low profile nature of this thing makes it a top pick!
My mom has been jogging her whole life. She has done everything from local 5ks to the Boston Marathon. This woman knows what shoe works for her! She has mellowed out to casual jogs now and has been having the hardest time finding a running shoe that supported her joints and won't leave her knees and back sore. I am happy to say these work for her! We are similar, because I have found now that Saucony are the only running shoes for me! I have a similar pair, less heel rise but basically the same fit and style. Overall she loves them! They are supportive, lightweight, and work with her body.
This bag is an essential for your floating endeavors. It is the perfect boat bag. It can sit in water, get stepped on, and the self locking latch is the coolest thing ever! The magnetic lock makes getting in and out of this bad larry a breeze. We all know how vital it is to be able to quickly access our fly boxes/accessories while also having a dependable closure system. I highly recommend this for anyone fishing out of a boat. The medium easily holds 10 standard boxes as well as gink, dust, tippet, chapstick, anything you don't want floating around the boat or laying out to be caught by flyline. Fly fishing people, buy this, you will be stoked!
Stay hydrated and rep the Backcountry.com logo and goat! There is a reason Nalgene is the name that pops into your head when you think "water bottle" Other than making them BPA free, not a lot has changed with the Nalgene Wide Mouth Tritan bottle over the years, because nothing has to! Its durable, easy to clean, fun to sticker, and saves the day when water is vital. Buy this, you will use it.
Thankfully I haven't had to dig into this Kit yet. I checked out the contents and it has all the basically you would need out on the river, on the trail, or sleeping under the stars. As Tyler mentioned, it has 2 dry bags so I may separate them and buy some additional first aid kit artillery and throw those in one bag and keep the original contents in the other. This will mostly sit in a boat and hopefully will not have to come in handy, but will come in handy...
who said standard was a bad thing?! I love this headlamp purely because it is simple and easy and does exactly whats expected of it. Multiple settings light the way in various conditions. Stays snug on your noggin (I also will throw it on my dog during night camping when I want to keep an eye on her) Its been thrown in boats, truck floors, backpacks and has proven durable. Its saved the day when a float went a bit to long after the sun went down. Overall, really impressed by what you get out of this headlamp for its price-point.
Thankfully we haven't had to use this bad larry yet! It sits in the Eddy for a rainy day or lots of water brought in from the boat. Initial impressions: easy to stash, easy to use.
Just like a new car smell, your new Pendleton will have that distinct scent of high end oiled leather. You take it all in and think of how this purse will be by your side for many years to come. The culture of Pendleton is just that, you use it and it lasts for years and only gets better like a fine wine. So far, this Purse has been nothing but great! It is the perfect size, not to big but roomy enough for the essentials. Love the print and belt- like cross strap (you can adjust the strap length) I have received many compliments and the clasp feature is really unique. Please note, this does not zip closed, so make sure to always keep it clasped if you do not want to lose your goodies. When clasped, nothing will slip out. Stoked on this purse!
