Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I thought I'd give this watch a try since it seemed pretty classic and durable. When it arrived, the face was bigger than I expected and looked overwhelming on my small wrist (the face size IS listed here, my fault for not measuring it beforehand). I tried to set the watch to the correct time but the pin was very hard to remove. When I finally got it out, the entire pin came out and detached from the watch, and I'm not sure that was supposed to happen. The watch came with a Vestal business card with instructions to go to their website to find the manual for the watch. I could not find this model on their website. Overall this watch was too big and manly looking, and I couldn't figure out how to set it, so I returned it.

Great sandal

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I will preface this review by saying these are my first Keens, I've never owned the classic Newport or any other kinds. I bought these shoes because I like minimalist/lightweight shoes, and these were on sale. I am on my feet all day at work and wore these for about 3 months straight. I have flat feet and a lot of feet issues. My feet are very blister-prone but I never got a single blister. After about 3 months, I noticed my back started to hurt after a long day and I think it's because these are just not that supportive (clearly - they are very lightweight and the arch support is minimal). I still use these for short term use (ie out hiking for a few hours, walking around town, etc) but they're not supportive enough anymore to wear all day. I consider them more like a flip flop or a slipper now. Really not too bad for 3 months of constant use, and they show almost no wear. I never had any issues with the toggle. I actually just tuck the laces underneath themselves and don't use the plastic toggle at all.

Also I am female but have big feet and generally buy mens shoes. The blue/yellow has grown on me. It's no fashion statement, but is not ridiculous either.

I returned this jacket because I wasn't a fan of the fit. I am normally a size 12 dress size/pants, 5'6" tall, and I got the L and it fit pretty well. This jacket was longer than I was expecting. It almost covers my entire butt. It's got a really girly fit that is wider in the hips and narrower in the waist. I was planning on using this jacket for backpacking, and the fit just looked too weird and formal for me. I returned it and bought the mens version instead. The mens small fits me well. This jacket seems fine, I just really didn't like how it looked on me. Not my style I guess. I'm still giving it 5 stars though because it seems like a great rain jacket.

I tried these shoes on my Applachian Trail thru hike. They are a popular shoe on the trail so I was disappointed that they didn't work for me. They felt very comfortable when I walked uphill or on flat ground - my heel felt very secure, cupped in the shoe. But downhills were awful in these shoes. My feet would slide down in them and my toes would get squished. I also felt like water soaked through really easily whenever I stepped in a puddle, and didn't dry out very quickly compared to other shoes. But like I said, I know a lot of people who love these shoes, so your milage may vary. I would wear these shoes for running on flat ground, but not for anything steep.

I took this pot on my Appalachian Trail thru hike and it's one of my favorite pieces of gear. Perfect size for 1 person. I used it almost every day to cook pasta, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, coffee, oatmeal. Fit great on my homemade alcohol stove. I loved being able to put it over a fire, which I did whenever I could, to save fuel. My pot is super discolored, but I think it gives it character. I always clipped it to the outside of my pack and wore it proudly! It was also handy for scooping up water from shallow streams. The handles can get really hot though, so I sewed a little fleece pocket for my alcohol stove and used that as a pot holder.

I love this jacket. It is very comfortable and flattering. The black is not overly sporty-looking so it is great for everyday. This jacket is fairly thick and warm, a nice alternative to a sloppy sweatshirt. I love the thumb loops. There is a flap in the hood which you can put your ponytail through, but the hood is big enough that I don't have to (very nice feature though). Overall I have no complaints.

Super fun, love these lights

I have the multicolored lights, and used them on a one month backpacking trip. I strung these up just about everywhere - across hammocks, on trees, clotheslines, even tied between 2 trekking poles. I store these in a ziplock bag with a couple twist ties and a binder clip. It is really nice to have some festive, ambient light when camping. I also use them in my room at home. Great for festivals, too. Highly recommend!
