True slim fit, shoulder design feels great with a backpack. No annoying seams! Feels great on short hikes, merino doesn't funk up if you get sweaty. Would love to test it a bit more on longer backpacking trips. Worth checking out for sure!

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this to my mom as a gift and she absolutely loves it! The carry handles and built-in straps make it super easy to pack up and haul to the campsite, picnic ground, sporting event, or outdoor concert. The nylon bottom is durable and perfect for damp ground, or if you have some wet, rowdy dogs and don't want them messing up your car seats!

Picked this up earlier in the winter mostly as a touring mid-layer. After my first long day tour, I was hooked and have worn it nearly every day - in or out of bounds - this season.

The grid fleece breathes exceptionally well, I tend to overheat quickly and most of my time on the skintrack is spent in just a light baselayer - maybe my light shell on top if it is windy or nuking snow. After a 5-mile skin in temps starting in the low-10s up to the mid-20s during the approach, wearing just a base layer and the R1, I didn't feel the need to pack the R1 once. The large half-zip lets you dump heat very efficiently if need be, but for the majority of the day I had it fully zipped and the R1 naturally regulated temps very well. For resort days I have worn this just under a shell down to the low teens and had the same experience. Warm on the chairlift up and holds heat in for the ride down, but after short hikes/sidesteps and nonstop laps I never felt like I was starting to overheat or needed to even unzip the R1.
The high collar and ninja style hood are favorite features of mine as well. The hood is low profile enough to be worn under a helmet comfortably, and when fully zipped the collar covers my whole neck and chin to keep wind and snow out on pow days.

Great design, super comfortable, and great breathability make the R1 a winner!

All the comfort of your favorite flannel with a little extra warmth. I bought this for my younger brother, he doesn't really like the look of technical jackets but wanted something a bit warmer for fall/early spring in Chicago. Modern fit and soft outer fabric look and feel great - holds up well to light wind and a little moisture as well. Very comfortable and versatile flannel!

I wear a buff on 90% of my ski days and bought this for my dad to get him on the Buff train. Nice, soft fabric is really comfortable and doesn't bunch in any awkward areas, even when worn underneath a helmet. Fleece lining makes this significantly warmer than other neck gaiters, definitely a must have for those colder/windy days!

My go-to binding for charging inbounds! Pivots have become an essential piece in my quiver, they go on every pair of inbounds skis I own. Great power transmission and never had any unwanted pre-release issues, can trust them to stay locked in when things get spicy! Totally bomber construction with the full metal housing - these bindings often outlast my skis - and a safe, reliable release.

Favorite bindings on the market, definitely recommend picking up a pair!

Classic hoodie, like these so much I buy them two at a time. Last forever, do run a bit large but I like baggy hoodies so a large works great for me. Super soft, but make sure you wash them first before wearing! The inside does pill a bit at first, can get all over your clothes, washed them once got rid of all the pilling.

When I first got into the backcountry and started earning my turns one of the first things drilled into me was the essentials checklist: beacon, shovel, probe. I've heard that a thousand times since and run through it in my head every time I slap my skins on and head out for an adventure.

This kit is a great way to get geared up for ski touring missions with 3 quality pieces of gear that are built to last. The Tracker3 is one of the best beacons on the market, well built and durable, good battery life, and easy to use. The slim design doesn't feel clunky and is hardly noticeable when wearing the beacon, and the search mode is very easy to read with a multiple burial search option for the worst case scenario.

BCA's Stealth probe is again all about ease of use, assembles very quickly and with a quick tug of the pull cord locks in place so you don't have to fiddle with it at all once it is ready to use. The shovel is simple, yet effective and nice and lightweight! I would highly recommend this kit for anyone who goes in to the backcountry, beginners to experts will appreciate the quality and functional features of all 3 pieces of gear!

Bought these as all around pants for gym climbing, camping, and casual wear and so far they have worked out great! I am a smaller guy and end up swimming in most active wear pants, the AP pants have a nice slim fit, enough stretch for active use and work really well for me! Fabric feels a little stiff fresh out of the bag but they are breaking in nicely and get more comfortable each time I wear them.
For my intended use I would probably get the standard AP pants over this 5 pocket version if I were to buy again, just seems to have more features like the reflective cuffs and snaps for rolling up the legs, but overall the whole AP line are very well made!

These pants are a sweet everyday and do it all climbing pant. Very comfortable, soft denim feel and look for casual wear, but still have the perfect amount of stretch and gusseted crotch area for climbing in the gym or at the crag.
The only problem I have with these pants is the inseam length, I am 5'8" tall and the legs are a bit long for me with a 32" inseam. Doesn't affect performance at all I just have to cuff them a bit more for climbing!

Purchased a pair of these bibs two seasons ago, and have put close to 200 days on them in the resort and backcountry. After many hours spent bootpacking spring couloirs, kneeling digging out pits, and sitting through blizzards on the chair I can say these are some seriously waterproof and tough bibs. The outer layer can get a little soaked through after a little while, but the waterproof membrane has never failed and always kept me dry!

My favorite part about these bakers heavyweight nylon outer shell, and the cordura reinforcements in high wear areas. I've never had a pair of ski pants hold up so well to branches, ski edges, rocks, and whatever else may come my way. After two seasons of hard shredding they don't have a single nick in the fabric! Another favorite feature is the beacon chest pocket, ideal for immediate access when every second counts.

Overall these are some heavy duty, do it all bibs that can handle everything from resort pow days to breaking trail up a 2000 foot spring couloir. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a durable shell snow pant.
