Originally from the East Coast, Concord, MA, to be exact, but have traveled around the world, with two highlights being an 82-day expedition in Patagonia, and the other a 77-day expedition in New Zealand (Southern Island). My passion for skiing and being outside brought me West to Backcountry and the Wasatch Mtns. I hope to continue to travel and try and live an active lifestyle, with enjoying it all along the way.

Super cool, fits nicely, not too tight and not too loose, great for casual around-town use. And if you're a daredevil - great to ski/board in too! Makes for a great Christmas gift or stocking stuffer for a skier/boarder in your life.
Wore these shorts a few days, while hitting the gym, getting out on the trails here in the cottonwoods, and even a game of ping-pong in the office. I liked the stretch feel, and the fabrics nice and breathable.
Great looking piece, super versatile, can be used while climbing, hiking, spring skiing, or ski touring and around town. I really like how stretchy it is and how it has a DWR finish - so not waterproof, will shed some rain, but stay away from downpoors.

I like this item because it is a revolutionary piece in the insulation world. Patagonia worked for 10 plus years to come up with a synthetic fill that performs/acts like down. Itâs lighter and has an incredible warmth/weight ratio. Itâs an ultimate expedition piece and is a go to for most alpinist out there.
use the Micro Puff for a variety of different uses, general around town purposes (like errands) or I use it while I hike, or backpack, as well as for cold days out on the slopes. I have a lot of friends who bring it with them climbing as well.
The Micro Puff because it is a game-changer, and for a 9.3 ounce garment the weight to warmth ration is pretty much second to none.
Phenomenal jacket - super versatile, worth every penny! Fit true to size for me, and was awesome when taking it out on hikes or around town on rainy days.
Nice little Arc'teryx video to give you more info - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWkwAI9oXzQ
Figured I'd add in this amazing hype video Salomon made about the Shift binding (Salomon and Atomic Actually manufacture bindings together so essentially its the same exact binding like the Salomon Shift but different color)
Let me know if you have any questions.
I gifted this to my mom as a Xmas gift! She was super excited and loved the Seafoam color option that I got her. She told me she brings it with her to the beach in Florida and that it keeps the drinks really cold for a long time! Great gift option here, I highly recommend.
I picked up this duffel a few weeks back so only have initial impressions. I've used it as a gear bag for an overnight camp out - super spacious, seriously this thing can hold more than you'd think it would - If you are traveling and only plan on checking one bag, this thing would be great for a European backpacking adventure. Great that it has an organizer pocket for easy access to things like passports, or if you're using it as a camp out bag you can keep daily necessities there.
Definitely durable, and I believe its water resistant with the DWR treatment on it. If you're in need of a solid travel duffel or a gear bag to get your stuff up to a ski resort or climbing gym, this bag will definitely be able to tackle those tasks.
Just for comparison, the Patagonia Black Hole 60L Duffel weighs in at - 2lb 7oz, whereas the Haglofs Lava 70L weighs 2lb 11.38oz - so you get an extra 10L and its basically only 4oz heavier.
Comfy, durable, and stylish - I'd highly recommend. Sizing does run a little large.
Great merino sock for long days on the trail backpacking or day hikes, I use mine for just about anything and everything - I like the fit a bit more than what Darn Tuff offers, but I may be a bit biased. I'd highly recommend.
These Oxfords are so sick, I had to get a pair, and have literally no complaints about them, Red Wing knocked it out of the park with these and hit a grand slam. There is a bit of a break in period because they are leather, so be aware of that. I would highly recommend. If you are in the market for a nice pair of Oxfords you've found what you are looking for. Done deal.
Patagonia quality pulls through once again, comfy fabric, and seem like they will last me several years. I'd highly recommend these, and I like that they have an old school look to them. The inseam does seem to run a little large, but you can roll them up a bit if need be.
So far so good on these pants, they are breathable, lightweight and have a sleeker look to them than other KUHL pants I have had in the past. Definitely versatile, and fit quite well out of the packaging. I'd recommend.
Just got these pants the other day, and like them a lot so far - pretty sturdy right out the packaging, but I'm imagining after some breaking in I will love them. Versatile for casual use as well as getting out into the mountains or on trails. They do have a relaxed fit, so a little more of a laid back style.
So far so good. I'd recommend.
Really comfy casual shirt, I got the Mushroom color which is a shade of brown and have been digging it so far. The fabric is soft and breathes pretty well, definitely a great casual button down to add to the closet. I'd highly recommend.
They are stretchy and comfy and breathable all in one. Definitely a great pant for casual use and can be worn (not intended use) for hiking or bouldering. I'd definitely recommend.
Mountain Khakis killed it with this one - the fabric is insanely comfy, and the color scheme works well (I got the Deep Sea color) and I can throw it on with any pair of khaki pants or shorts. I'm a taller guy so the fit for me worked well, but I could see how it may run a bit large for others not quite as tall as I am. I'd highly recommend. I've even skied in it on a spring day out here in UT.
As you may have noticed this boot is highly reviewed and is fashioned by many Backcountry employees across our offices - know that it a Backcountry favorite. Very stylish, lightweight, and the fit worked out well for me, right out of the box.
Disclaimer - the color you see on the website doesn't match the actual product (must be something to do with the lighting - the shirt is actually a darker blue than what you see)
- Absolutely love the fabric - so comfy and pretty lightweight - great to throw on as a casual piece - I'd highly recommend.
