Alex Goulden's Bio

Originally from the East Coast, Concord, MA, to be exact, but have traveled around the world, with two highlights being an 82-day expedition in Patagonia, and the other a 77-day expedition in New Zealand (Southern Island). My passion for skiing and being outside brought me West to Backcountry and the Wasatch Mtns. I hope to continue to travel and try and live an active lifestyle, with enjoying it all along the way.

These Oxfords are so sick, I had to get a pair, and have literally no complaints about them, Red Wing knocked it out of the park with these and hit a grand slam. There is a bit of a break in period because they are leather, so be aware of that. I would highly recommend. If you are in the market for a nice pair of Oxfords you've found what you are looking for. Done deal.

Patagonia quality pulls through once again, comfy fabric, and seem like they will last me several years. I'd highly recommend these, and I like that they have an old school look to them. The inseam does seem to run a little large, but you can roll them up a bit if need be.

So far so good on these pants, they are breathable, lightweight and have a sleeker look to them than other KUHL pants I have had in the past. Definitely versatile, and fit quite well out of the packaging. I'd recommend.

Just got these pants the other day, and like them a lot so far - pretty sturdy right out the packaging, but I'm imagining after some breaking in I will love them. Versatile for casual use as well as getting out into the mountains or on trails. They do have a relaxed fit, so a little more of a laid back style.
So far so good. I'd recommend.

Mountain Khakis killed it with this one - the fabric is insanely comfy, and the color scheme works well (I got the Deep Sea color) and I can throw it on with any pair of khaki pants or shorts. I'm a taller guy so the fit for me worked well, but I could see how it may run a bit large for others not quite as tall as I am. I'd highly recommend. I've even skied in it on a spring day out here in UT.

Disclaimer - the color you see on the website doesn't match the actual product (must be something to do with the lighting - the shirt is actually a darker blue than what you see)
- Absolutely love the fabric - so comfy and pretty lightweight - great to throw on as a casual piece - I'd highly recommend.

Great laid back style beanie - really versatile - from casual use around town running errands to on the slopes and backpacking it does it all. I have a pretty big head and a good amount of hair so it took a little time for it to stretch out and fit really comfortably but besides from that I have no negatives to say on this one.

Darn Tough makes quality long lasting socks, and have a great warranty to go with it. They are a great thickness for hiking or casual use, and breath well too. If you are used to Smartwool and try these out they may feel a bit different at first, but once they break in they are extremely comfortable.
I'd highly recommend.

Just as Wes said, if you are looking to spice things up on those not so great days on the resort, then these are definitely a way to do it. Playful, and silly and really easy to adjust the bindings so plenty of people can try them out.

So I literally just picked these up and haven't been able to ski them yet - they're currently in the shop getting mounted with the Salomon Shift Binding.
I figured since I haven't gotten on them yet, I'd include this Youtube video to answer any questions you may have.

- One thing I think a lot of people out there don't know is that this ski is Michael "Bird" Shaffers goto ski. If you don't know who the Bird is, then check out this link - https://warrenmiller.com/athletes/michael-bird-shaffer
