These bindings are pretty great. They were easy for me to mount on the board and matched my board perfectly. My only complaint are that the ankle straps can be a bit of a monster to tighten at first. I wear a size 7 boot and bought the medium bindings. The first latch is always tricky to get, but once it latches the bindings adjust easily and have great flex and support. It just got a little frustrating by the end of my day that it took me so long to fasten them at first.

I purchased the 147cm, and for me and my beginner needs it does the job. If I could do it again, I would probably get the 143cm, just because I have rented boards for two seasons and think that I might be better with a little bit of a shorter board. That being said, for someone's first board this does the job. Great weight, size, and flex. Grip is good although I don't know about gliding on flats...but that just might have been the early snow conditions at Jackson. Do recommend the board for any novices out there.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

After falling in love with my La Sportiva Miura Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe in the men's style, I decided was time to get these as well. Slightly more aggressive than my first pair I was expecting a painful breaking in period. I am surprised and happy to say, they fit like a glove with no pain. I am still getting used to the edging, as they are a bit more aggressive, but so far so good. I have warn them only in the gym, but look forward to taking them outside soon. I do have to say I bought them to have a pair that was not lace up to get on and off more quickly. However, the lace ups do provide me with a bit more stability in the ankle area. I think this was the perfect compliment to my other pair, and think I will be good climbing shoes wise for a long time to come. I absolutely love the rubber souls of La Sportiva shoes and find that heel and toe hooking are super easier with these than other shoes I have tried. Needless to say when I was climbing the endless slabs of Japan, they always pulled through. Edging wins every time.

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 2"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

I love these leggings. I ordered a pair last year to get me through the Japanese winter and all the outdoor activities I do. They did just that, they kept me warm without the bulk! I could wear them under my activewear for climbing and snowboarding as well as wear them as leggings out and about if I wanted. I had to get another pair this year as they are warm and cozy. I am not a fan of the small waste band, but I love them all the same. Definitely recommend for a nice base layer or active legging.

I have two Manduka pro Mats and they stand the test of time. I have had one for over 7 years, and it is still in mint condition even after daily practice. My only complaint is that this sucker is heavy. This is not a travel friendly mat. Keep this for your home/studio practice. For going on retreats, traveling, or even attaching it to your back to get to class I would go with the Pro Lite.

As a first time ice climber, I was not entirely confident in my ability to send pitches. But with this ice pick I was able to enjoy my entire day out on the ice. I was never scared of hitting my own helmet thanks to no hammer. I was also confident in my ability to hold on even with gloves thanks to the adjustable grip. If I were to continue ice climbing, I would definitely purchase this ice tool.

Normally I wouldn't buy things in pink, but at the time of purchase it was the only color available. It makes it easy to spot me on the crag for pics and the helmet itself is super comfy. I have a larger head, and find it hard to get helmets in any sport that fit my head, but this one does! And it gives me the freedom to wear my hair in more than just one way. Also lightweight, so it doesn't bog down packs for long approaches. Definitely recommend it for lady crushers!!!!

I bought this shoe is my beginning MTB shoe, and they did not disappoint. The shoes fit me true to size and the rubber soles grip just as they claim. They are great to build confidence on the trails without the commitment of clipless. They are also one of the more affordable riding shoes, especially after looking at the Specialized 2FO which was $130 when I bought the Freeriders. Looking to get a new pair soon!

These are my favorite go to shoes for climbing. They are perfect for indoor and outdoor climbing. They are aggressive enough for bouldering and comfortable enough for any sport climbing. They have helped me send some tough slabs and cracks in Japan as well as keeping me confident in the gym. I prefer the men's shoe to the women's version, but that is a personal choice. The vibram rubber makes heel and toe hooks a cinch, I don't leave home without them!!!
