Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 220 lbs

Probably one of the warmest jackets I have had the pleasure of wearing. It was great for low aerobic activities. I tended to overheat when sledding with my kids. I am a fairly stocky guy and this jacket was roomy for me in an XXL. It definitely has a more generous cut over the endurance model. This jacket would be ideal if
1. the zipper were on the normal side
2. Had a chest pocket (either internal or external)
3. Had zippered pit vents to be able to control the heat

Don't get me wrong, the jacket is awesome. I wound up going with the Arcteryx Macai. I did like the color of the neutrino better as well as the warmth, but the Macai had the chest pocket and gore tex shell.

Has a lot of great features/pockets. It was a bit too puffy for me. Other jackets proved more stylish/appealing. This jacket was the best bang for the buck given the features/warmth/price(on sale). In the end, I prefer the Rab Neutrino Plus for a super warm jacket or the Arcteryx Macai for being warm/windproof/waterproof.

I'm a stocky guy so went with the XXL. Fit was good, a little puffy and I couldnt tell that it was that much warmer over the cerium LT. The cerium LT was more sleek and less expensive, so I went with it instead. I did like that the Thorium seemed more durable and had an internal chest pocket.

TNF Ultra Fastpacks GTX are great right out of the box. Did not require a break in period and have been waterproof. Super comfortable, good stability. Fit my feet great, I have a very wide foot with narrow heel. The heel cup holds my foot well. I normally wear keens but wanted to give these a shot with the vibram sole and gore-tex. I walked around through snow, ice, slush, puddles of the past snow storms and feet did not get wet and were warm.
