Aaron Martin's Bio

After 8 years in the Marine Corps and originally from Nashville, TN, I found myself in Salt Lake City, skiing, hiking, fishing, camping, and participating in a few other parachute related extreme sports.

I love learning and teaching new skills and watching friends develop the same sense of wonder I do, each and every time I'm in the outdoors.

I use this pack ~3x a week for touring in the wasatch. It has plenty of room for a long(ish) day of touring but you'll run out of room for multi day missions. The best part of this canister pack is you CAN fly with it! Durability is standard, I wouldn't drag it down granite but it's holding up to abuse. Comfort is also superb. Scott really hit this one out of the park.

Another great product from Danner, function, fashion, comfort, durability. I've been wearing these this fall/winter and can't say enough about them. They are my go to boots for non technical peaks as well as hangin with friends and even yard work. Fit's true to size and I'll be buying more.

Save room in the vehicle and throw this tough as nails duffel on the roof. It's water proof, dirt proof, and bugs wipe off very easily. I would recommend mesh bags for organization as finding things in the dark can be difficult. The divider works well and the wet/dry storage is really nice for wet gear after a day of fishing.

Throw this in your bag for that peak, or backpacking in chilly weather. You won't feel it and you'll be warm when you stop moving, enjoy the summit, or sit around the camp fire. I prefer to wear it underneath a shell for maximum warmth.

Merino wool holds 30% of it's weight in moisture before your skin will feel any dampness. The spiral construction of the fabric also wicks moisture unreasonably quickly. With Arcteryx design, this is such an amazing base layer that will be a solution in your outdoor kit for years.

After a nearly 24 hour epic day up Kings Peak in the High Uinta National Forest, I forgot I was still wearing this super comfortable headband and actually got in the shower with it still on. True story. Gives just enough insulation to keep the head and ears warm, but allows you to breath and wear a helmet. Perfect for skiing.

I wear this as a shell layer for skiing Utah 3%. Day after day, this jacket keeps out the cold and keeps in the warm. I've slid down granite, I've ripped through branches, I've shut it in the car door. Jacket is as durable as it is waterproof. I like the SV (long) cut to cover further down the waist and hips.

I use this vest primarily as an insulation layer over my cycling kit when the air temp drops below 40F. It fits true to size, and in true Arcteryx fashion, is nice to wear both in the backcountry as well as the city.

I wear this jacket in every condition during winter. This jacket is perfectly suited for climbing and skiing. I am 6'1 195lbs and the Large fits me perfectly. Arms up, down, twisting around, this jacket keeps you covered. The hood also moves with your helmet when you use the cinch, eliminating blind spots.

Great capable cooler that will fit your pickup truck bed very well. I did an overlanding trip across Death Valley this past summer with temperatures averaging well above 100 degree F during the day and 90 at night. This little cooler kept ice in it the whole trip. The sturdy construction gives you peace of mind when stacking other equipment on top of or around the cooler, especially in the back of a truck where things tend to shift on bumpy roads. It's bear proof too. Haven't tested it yet though. ; )

The social networking capability of this camera is what will keep GoPro relevant and you recording high quality footage of your adventures. This is a fantastic solution, especially when paired with the Karma system.

I mostly keep this in the car on fishing and camping trips but have on occasion packed it in without any trouble. It's easy to carry and keeps drinks (and fish) cold much longer than traditional coolers. Great price point for such a powerful little cooler!

A great minimalist jacket that keeps me dry day after day in the backcountry. Everything from peak bagging, to a day at the crag, this jacket will perform tirelessly. Very durable for the weight and you'll forget it's in your pack.

We keep our precips in the jeep for the surprise rain storm or random adventure we weren't expecting rain clouds. It holds up and performs very well for this. Not bombproof like gore tex, but a solid solution if you're wiling to recoat with DWR occasionally. We've been using these jackets for 4 years now, no trouble, always dry.
