    Shielded from the elements.

Don't let brisk weather keep you inside by wearing the Prana Men's Winter Zion Pants. The four-way stretch fabric allows you to stride forward unrestricted, while the soft lining provides cozy protection from the chill. If temperatures start to heat up a bit, the gusseted inseam not only adds better range of motion, but also features ventilation to let warm air out. A low-profile adjustable waist means you don't have to spend time searching for a belt before you leave the house. Two cargo-style pockets fit your keys, gloves, and maybe a snack, just in case you end up being out for longer than expected.

    Warm and Warm and Toasty!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 40/32

Works great in cold weather. Ordered a size up because most lined pants i have seem to run small, was not necessary.

    Great pants!

Great pants. Fit and feel is awesome. Just the right stretch for hiking/hunting the mountains. Very durable. The fleece lining version is a great addition to my other prana pants. Definitely recommend.

Good pants - not as pictured

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I think these fit great, and the thin fleece lining both keeps them very warm and light. I own several pairs of flannel lined jeans/khakis, and these are much better. That said, the pair I received has big cargo pockets on each side - not the single low profile pocket in the picture. I like a lot of these Prana pants because they can sub in for dress pants in certain occasions, but not if I'm rocking big bro-tastic cargo pants! I'm going to keep them because the fit and feel is great, but wish they were closer to the picture. I see the description does say 2 cargo pockets, but it's not like the profile picture.

    Moved to Washington. Ordered pants.

These pants were quite the welcomed addition to the collection. The only pants I seem to own anymore are stretch Zion and when I saw these I decided to give them a go. These are an amazing addition to have for the crisp Washington mornings, days at higher elevations anytime when regulars don’t cut it. I wish I had these on my last backpacking trip through Europe during the dead of winter... would have saved a few grouchy walks. Like others have said, due to the material they seem to be a bit tight so order up a size. If it’s still odd you can adjust them with the strap. I wear a 33 and ordered a 35 which was perfect.

      Great pants!

Great pants for those chilly spring or fall approaches! Not too hot but just enough to take the edge off when belaying or waiting your turn at the wall. Was a little worried the insulation would take away from mobility or comfort but that is not at all a problem in these.

      Insane in the fleece membrane

As per my fathers recommendation I picked up a pair of these pants for cold winter climbs or snowy hikes. I was already a fan of the normal stretch zions, so these things just blew my mind even more! The fleece and stretch zion fabric is a legendary combination that I will preach about forever!

      Prana just made my winter!

Bummed that it's too chilly out to wear your Stretch Zion pants you wore all dang summer? Well not anymore! I got a pair of the Zion Winter pants in Charcoal for winter and I have barely taken them off since...I mean, I wash them...but, you get it. I've never liked the lined jeans or lined khaki's because they seem way too bulky, bunched up, or just too hot once you get inside. This is not the case with these Zion pants. They're the usual super stretchy and comfortable fabric, but with a light lining on the inside. Not too much, so I can wear them all day at the office, and then go XC skiing in them. I paired some lightweight long-undies with them while XC skiing and I stayed relatively warm and dry even after falling once, very impressive. If you like the Zion Stretch pants for the summertime, these are a must-have for winter.

The fit of these are true to size I feel. It feels like there is slightly more room in the boot area, and I went with a 38x32 after I normally get a 38x34 and the length is perfect. Prana does it again with another awesome pant!

      Comfy warmth

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

These are great pants for active winter adventure. They still feel thin compared to lined jeans, but hardy enough to keep the cold at bay. I like the styling, as it is muted and functional. Very flexible and super comfortable!

Fabulous, warm version of the regular

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs small

These are really awesome pants. If you like the normal zion pants, then you will love these for winter. They are still relatively thin, but somehow the very comfy, yet still light-weight insulation is quite warm. I would argue these are possibly even more stretchy and flexible than the normal zion pants, and I can't emphasize enough how comfortable they are. The insulation is very high-tech -- built right into the fabric (not sewn in as a separate layer, for example).

I recommend ordering exactly 1 size up from what you are comfortable with in the regular Zion pants. If you like 31 in the normal, order a 32 in the winter pants, or 32/33, etc. The reason being, the winter pants are slightly thicker, due to the build-in insulation, so they naturally fit a bit tighter.

Great Winter Version of Favorite Pants

The stretch zion is my dad's favorite pants (and shorts!) and pretty much make up his whole wardrobe. So for the winter time, I couldn't resist getting him this pair so he can continue is obsession! He loves them!

        Warm, comfortable and conforming.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 33
        • Height: 6'0"
        • Weight: 190lbs

This is my new favorite pant for cooler days outside or in. The internal lining is soft and really comfortable without feeling hot. The Zion material releases excess heat efficiently so I'm always just the right temp even when sitting by the fire on cool fall days here in the PacNW. Zion's stretch fabric conforms to all my movements without a saggy-pants feel. Also sheds rain/moisture well so serves as a great outdoor pant, too. Truly a great pair of pants...will likely get a second pair!

Exactly as described, what I wanted

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: Medium
        • Height: 6'0"

I live in MN and was looking for a pair of Fall/Winter pants to hike, snowshoe, etc in with the variable climate we have. These so far have been perfect - the thin inside lining has been great in the late-fall keeping me warm, but not hot. They are also pretty good at resisting water - I won't say they'd keep you dry in a downpour, but they would dry out quick enough if you found yourself in one and will resist basic rainfall nicely. Recently traveled to Iceland exploring the countryside with hikes to waterfalls, mountains, beaches and hotpots and I found myself pulling these pants out of the suitcase pretty much every day for every activity. From a fit standpoint, I'm usually between a 33 and 34 waist, and like my pants at about a 34, and the medium fits perfectly.
