Staying Warm With Style

Recently picked up the Whitney Portal and I love it! I usually purchase my jackets a size up (wear a size L shirt) just for the extra room and it's not too big or baggy! The 650 down fill is super puffy and super warm- while this isn't a technical jacket or a mid layer- its great for keeping warm and looking good! Some applications would be casual warm wear during the winter months or for a night out on the town when you're on a ski trip!

I am very impressed with jacket. Here I was thinking that prAna just made good pants and tank tops and stuff like that, but I was thoroughly impressed with jacket. Not only does it look great, it performs great. It keeps me warms at night walking through the city, and it kept me warm on a recent camping/climbing trip where the lows were in the 20s. Just a note, I wouldn't dare climb in it haha. It is puffy and doesn't seem durable enough to rub on rock for extended periods of time. It is definitely more of a style jacket than a performance jacket.

I have a lot of prAna goods so I was excited when I saw they had down jackets this year. I always like having a hood so I went with the Whitney Portal. The jacket seems really well made and the fit is good. Ready for winter!
