They're almost too easy to wear.

Throw on the Prana Theorem Denim Pant when you want an effortless, clean look and easy-going comfort. Trim cut through the leg gives you a slim look without being tight in the seat or waist, and the stretch denim moves with you so you don't feel restricted by your britches. These are the kind of jeans you can wear all day, every day until you get to that scary point where you realize that you haven't washed your jeans in months and feel kind of ashamed for yourself. But only kind of.

Very comfortable but not slim at all

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

These jeans are light-weight, well constructed, and have a hint of stretch to them. However, I usually wear skinny or slim jeans, and despite what I've read in a lot of the comments below, these are in no way slim fit. They are much baggier then Levis 511's, for instance. Hopefully they shrink a bit after a couple of washes.

    Love these Jeans

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 34 X 30

These fit GREAT! Have a little stretch in them. Look dressy enough for visiting clients. Bought a second pair I liked them so much.
I would wash them alone initially as some of the dye tends to rubbed off. Otherwise, they are fantastic.

    Nice material, odd fit

I'm a Levi's 511 30x30. I love the 511 cut in Levi's and wanted to try out some Prana pants that might be similar but with Prana's attention to detail. These pants have the Prana characteristics of robust seams and quality fabric, but the cut is off for my taste. Compared to my sizing in Levi's these run more like a 31x32. They have ample room in the thighs and taper slightly to the ankle. From the knee down they were great, but the thigh and waist areas were too roomy for the tapered cut.

    Super comfortable

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. Says they are super soft and really comfortable. They say they are slim fit but they are a bit baggier than other prAna pants. Super durable, great for hiking or casual use.

    Great Denim

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Prana nailed it with the Theorem Denim. The pants were reasonably soft and comfortable out of the bag, I suspect they will only become more so as I wear them more.

Fit is slim, but not painted on like skate denim - perfect for me. Those with especially muscular builds through the legs may have less success with fit in this regard, though I will still encourage you to give it them a try.

Finish seems serviceable in all areas. Stitching is quality, patch and pocket accents are understated. I would have preferred a button fly, and I'm a sucker for a finished-edge on the outside leg seam but then we'd be talking about denim with a much higher price tag.

Haven't taken them off since I got them.

I'm picky with jeans, I've only owned two pairs that I liked over the last 4 years. Well, with these jeans its now three pairs. These jeans fit me great, although I will acknowledge I have the traditional slim climber build. If you actually have leg muscles, these probably are not cut right for you. The jeans are stretchy and soft, but I wouldn't go as far as some people to call them sweatpants-esque. They stretch enough to climb in, and are sturdy enough to take the abuse. Thanks to the styling, once you wipe the chalk off and unroll the cuffs, you'll blend in perfectly and can pretend to be a functioning member of society again..

Style: There are a million different jean style, this one happens to be exactly what I want. They are cut narrow all the way through the leg, but not so skinny that they look like "skinny jeans." The Dark Khaki is a nice color, which is all the words I know to describe color. There's a little accent stitch triangle on the sides next to the pocket, I don't think it does anything but it looks like a style choice and this is the style section. You can't unread these words.

Fit: If you want to climb 5.13, leg muscles are a luxury you can't afford. These pants fit tight in the thighs, if you squat 350, you would probably struggle to wear these pants. I'm 5'10" and 155, and the 30x30 fits like it's almost tailor made for me.

Technical: These pants are advertised as climbing pants, so how do they climb? I wore these to work and then went straight to the gym to pull on some plastic. These aren't as good as a climbing pant like the stretch zion, but at the same time, it did feel cool to be bouldering in jeans. These are like a concealed weapon, no one expects it and then bam, bust out the solutions and you're climbing. Compared to other stretchy jeans, these also feel like they would be much more durable when scumming against rocks and things, might be good for off width or any awkward climbing. I tried these out on a hot day, and they do not breath particularly well (denim after all). Better for cold days. As for the stretch, while they stretched enough to not limit any movement, I still noticed the pants as I was wearing them. Other people have compared these to sweatpants, but I wouldn't say they are quite that soft. They are thicker and more study than other stretchy jeans I own, but that comes at the expense of fabric stretch.

I wouldn't hesitate to climb in these, and if you want to wear your jeans to work then go straight to the wall or the crag, these would be a great choice. I guess If you never wanted to climb in these, they would also be a great choice for all kinds of activities such as but not limited to walking, sitting or doing any other activity that requires you wear pants. They're comfortable, fit great, and look good. But you probably climb.

I was provided with these pants in order to review them.

Haven't taken them off since I got them.

    Great jeans

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 33/32

Love them.... I should have purchased two pare. It is hard to find nice fitting pants for an athletic build. Normally the pants are too loose or ridiculously tight. These pants fit great.

    Love 'em

My wife had to ask me to stop wearing my Prana pants every day. Well, maybe it was not that extreme, but, wow, I love these jeans. The fit is true to size and the fabric is soft and supple -- due to the hint of stretchy material. The merchandising photo captures the color perfectly. Buy some.

Exactly what I was looking for

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 28

These Prana theorem jeans were exactly what I was looking for in a pair of jeans- not skinny, not baggy, not stiff. They are the Goldilocks of jeans: just right. The 2% spandex makes all the difference in the world- adding just a slightly noticeable stretch to greatly increase comfort and range of motion. I would be just as comfortable climbing or hiking in these pants as I am just walking around. MY ONLY QUALM is that I wish they were made with different sized inseams- the 32 inch is just a tad too long for me.

    Stretch and Skinny- YES

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30x32

Never thought i would buy skinny jeans, I grew up wearing Bell Bottoms. But I love these. They fit me perfectly , Stretch is the key. Now the only kind of jeans I will buy, recently got a pair of Prana Axiom too. The material seems softer then most jeans, already broke in , and the 32" inseam seems longer then most too.
    Don't think Twice, But these.

MOST hipster item of clothing i own

    • Size Bought: 28

Easily the most hipster piece of clothing I own, and I thriftshop. . . They're skinny, but stretch and don't hug my crotch too tightly. I love the Deep Teal color and the denim look. Pockets are large enough to actually hold stuff and people can't see the grapes. 28 waist.

    Skinny jeans

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    • Size Bought: 30x32

These are skinny jeans. They hug my legs from the thighs down to the calves. That being said, they are stretchy and comfortable. Just know that it's a style that may not be everyone's cup of tea.

    So comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

for denim pants, these things feel like sweat pants. They feel very worn despite being brand new, but the fabric is also very tough, so you could wear them camping if you wanted. They aren't super tight but give a slight form fit that perfectly accommodates style and performance.

    These are Awesome!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I have both the Axiom Jean and the Theorem Jean from prAna and I like them both for different reasons. The Theorem is a great slimmer fit in a really stretchy fabric. This is my first pair of pants in a slim fit and my wife thinks they look great. Definitely give a more tailored look to any outfit. The Axioms are also great. I wear them for climbing etc.

    Just not my style...

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

Before I start this review let me please explain a few things... I do NOT have the modern day physique many men seem to have.

That is to say, I'm not a "skinny jeans" type of guy because I'm a large man.

I'm not rail thin like many fellow climbers out there who sport tight fitting hipster pants at all occasions. I'm not obese, but I liken my look in these pants to that scene at the end of "Super-Bad" where Jonah Hill is trying on "skinny jeans" at the mall-they just don't look right as there is, quote, "just not enough pants."

I'm a skier and climber at 6'2" and between 190-200lbs on average, unless its after Thanksgiving and well, you understand where this is going; the scale leans towards the latter. Don't judge me!

Anyways, I got these from and out of the box they weren't right for me-thus, they are not recommended for big guys.

If you, however, have skinny little legs and a shorter stature/thin thin thin physique and like the skinny jeans look, you'll like them because they are stretch denim and fit tight!

I should've known, but thanks to the wonderful people at I was able to return them and exchange for the pRana Axiom. I love and have owned several pairs of Axioms over the years, some good some bad, but thanks to this great company and pRana I've been satisfied and able to exchange at will if a product doesn't suit me or it falls apart too fast due to manufacturing issues, which is unfortunately what pRana lends itself to on occasion.

I own 33/32 in the Brion and Axiom (several pairs), and that has always worked in those styles, however, the theorem in a 33/32 was simply TOO tight.

The new jeans are on their way-thanks!

I do NOT recommend these pants for a man with my size and stature. The crotch was WAY too revealing, according to my girlfriend, and the overall fit of the jeans was constricting throughout the thigh, calf, and ankle areas of my body.

    Hope that helps. Thanks!

Do these have a gusseted dealio for you...

Do these have a gusseted dealio for you to move all nice like?

I'm trying to understand how these pants...

I'm trying to understand how these pants fit. Is it fair to say they fit like the Brion, and the Axiom fits like the Zion?
