    Perfect climbing pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 200lbs

I have many pairs of these pants and love them. They have a great balance of stretch with leg protection and comfort. I climb in them both indoors and outdoors and love them. I like their new colors as well.

    My favorite pair of pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 33" waist
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Love these. I wear them out around town or camping and hiking and they're equal to any task. I will say I usually wear a 33 inch waist, but with the slight stretch that these have, I wonder if the 32" would be better.

    Meh...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The leg pocket on these is very poorly designed (two zippers and one wind flap on a single thigh) and detracts severely from the comfort of the pants. Fit is far better for climbing than for casual wear as they definitely have the "plum smuggler" effect. I want to like them because the material has some stretch and feels quite nice--but I don't.

    discrepancies are unbelievable

I love these pants. I ended up purchasing a few in different colors. I wear 30x30 5’8” 145 lbs but the difference in fit between the charcoal, ginger, mud, coffee bean, or cargo green are too significant. By far the dark ginger and charcoal were the most loose fit of the bunch and the cargo green the slimmest. Prana needs to

      Amazing!!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 32/34
      • Height: 6'3"
      • Weight: 165lbs

Before these pants I was tried and true denim, even if I ripped my pants every other climbing session. And then I was introduced to these. The stretch is amazing. The material is great for protection against weather and small abrasions I thought only thicker materials would give. I'll be buying another pair asap!

      Awesome versatile pant

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 33/30
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 178lbs

I got these for my boyfriend after he already had a pair of the shorts and he loves them. Super comfy and durable, can be used for hiking, biking, traveling, climbing, etc. Definitely will be looking into getting him another pair.

      6ft, 175lbs

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Size Bought: Medium 30 and 33 30
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 175lbs

I love these pants. They’re dressy enough to wear on a night out but also comfortable enough to do a 4day hike in. I got the 33 30 and they fit like a glove. This is my second pair of these pants. The first ones i still wear, wore traveling the world for 9 months, wore on a 4 day hike to Machu Picchu and also a 5 day hike in Patagonia. The material is not water proof but it is resistant and the pants dry fast too. They’re a great buy and i highly recommend them

      All Time Favorite Pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 31x32
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 160lbs

I love these pants. They're comfortable, durable, and they look good. Mine have held up to a years worth of climbing (knee bars included) and they still look brand new. I've found that they fit perfectly true to size as well.

      Great fit and flexibility

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Height: 6'3"
      • Weight: 250lbs

Love these! The fit is great and the adjustable integrated belt is a real plus for when everything loosens up after a day or two on the trail. Keep your distance from the campfire though. A rogue ember popped out and melted a hole in them the size of a dime.

      Seriously the Best Hiking Pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small
      • Height: 5'11"
      • Weight: 155lbs

These are the only pants I wear for hiking. They perform well in both cold and hot climates. If you work up a good sweat, the pant legs roll up mid-calf and are secured with two durable buttons. The stretch fabric is ideal for mobility and it's very breathable. And on top of all that, these pants look great! Order your regular size as the built-in belt can tighten them up if needed. I highly recommend these pants.

      Seriously the Best Hiking Pants

      Totally Rad

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 32x30
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 145lbs

These pants are absolutely marvelous! They are thin and light, yet they seem completely durable. Sometimes I forget Prana is a climbing company and these pants are perfect for climbing! Thin so I am still able to feel the mountain when doing when knee holds, yet stretchy to get any hold I myself can stretch too haha! Great pants! (Between you and me, I'm wearing them now because how amazing they are)

The Best Pants for anything outdoors!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: M 30 inseam
      • Height: 5'7"
      • Weight: 170lbs

They fit and feel great! They stretch with your movements, are very durable, and are easy care.

      Best Camping Pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These pants are the best for going camping or hiking or anything outdoors! They fit well and stretch with you when you move. They are also durable and help repel water if you get sprinkled on during your hike!

      Awesome Pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants seem great at everything. Durable, comfortable, look pretty good, and perform well in active conditions. Have a couple pairs now and wear them for a variety of different outdoor activities. These pants are also great since it can be hard to find a longer inseam available in this style pants. Just order your normal jean size.

      So So Good, The Best

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought a pair of these pants finally cause I've read so many good things about them. After I got them I wore them climbing a couple times and loved them so much I bought the women's version for my wife, another color for myself and a pair for my dad. I don't know how they're gonna hold up over time, but they seem sturdy and they're super super comfortable. They've become my new wear-for-everything pants.

      Really great pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second pair of stretch Zion pants. I also have a pair of the shorts too. I really like the way they fit which is very comfortable. Stretch is really good. Love the cinch up internal belt. I mainly wear these climbing at the gym or outside at the cliffs. Works great for both and mine have been durable. DWR fabric drys quickly. These pants look nice and I wear them out on the town as well.

      Fantastic Pant

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Have only worn these a couple times but they are excellent. Great freedom of motion for a variety of outdoor activities. I have the same style in the shorts and loved them so much I had to get the pants too!

      Solid Pant!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these pants. I have owned several pair as well as getting a few pairs for my dad and they are always my go to pant for just about any occasion. They fit true to size and are a super comfortable pant from climbing to hiking to simply just hanging out. Definitely suggest!

      Treat yo self

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants are great. I've had multiple pairs and still wear the first pair I picked up two years ago. They are really durable, i've dragged them through sandstone chimneys, along granite slabs, bush whacking, dumped wine and coffee on them and they still are going strong. Super comfortable, stretchy, and breathable. Can't go wrong with these. I love the built in belt, keep those pants tight with out bugging you in a harness. BUY THEM!

A stated by a few reviews these pants now run slightly longer. Can this be confirmed by more people/gearheads before I place my order?

For reference, I typically wear 32x32 and the 32L usually drags on the floor for me but I like the look with shoes. However, I would not want it to drag too much like a 33L.

I had a chance to try at a nearby REI that did not have it available earlier. In my opinion, the length is, in fact, longer than a standard 32L. There is about the same amount of "crimple" found in other ~34L pants. The 30L's seemed more like a ~31L which is the size I will be getting.

      Unanswered Question

I'm usually a 29 waist, but these pants are only offered in a 28 or 30 waist size. Do people recommend that I get them a little small or large? I see that they have a belt of some kind, so I'm thinking large, but I want to make sure.

      Unanswered Question

      Hi,

I bought a pair in size S/32 a year ago and they fit perfectly. Would a 31/32 be a comparable fit after the change to numerical sizing? Also, is it true that they changed the fit to be baggier in the legs as another reviewer mentioned?
      Hope not, they were perfect...

Last year I bought Prana stretch zion pants with size M 32. but I noticed Prana Pants size system changed. So I wonder which size one I shoud choose for me. 32x 32 or 33 x 32?

Hey Bumtae - Prana did change their sizing for this year. I have an old L-34 and the 34x34 fit me best in the new Stretch Zions. There is still the adjustment strap in the waist so maybe the 33x32 will be best for you. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.

I want to get my husband a pair of these. As long as I've known him, he's been 32x32 (medium) in every brand and everything, but Prana's size chart leads me to believe he'd need a small (waist size "30"). Can anyone verify or clarify this? He usually wears his pants a bit tight, but this might be due to his soccer player build.

I guess I'm wondering if all the reviewers who say it fits "true to size" mean according to Prana's size chart, or according to their normal size...these are obviously different.

      Hey Stella,

If he is a 32x32 get him a Medium 32. I am a 32" waist and wear a medium in these pants. I think the Prana size chart is a off for these pants. Let me know if you have any other questions.

What does the number indicate after the letter? Is that the inseam or waist? i.e. a S-30 will get me a waist of 32 but a length of 30 and a S-32 will get me a 32/32?

Any ladies out there that rock these for climbing (or otherwise?) I'm in the market for some climbing pants, not partial to mens clothes, but here they are, and one sale. .. men's prana has fit me in the past, just curious about ladies experience with these pants. thanks!

Thanks Jeremy! I'm aware of the Halle, hadn't seen it on sale, will consider- but doesn't come in brick and blue (what's with that!?). I have been partial to flashier colors lately, they're so much fun!

      Best Answer

Yes, I wear both the pants and shorts and love them! The shorts do look a little like you're wearing men's pants (they sometimes get some weird bunching in the front when I sit down) but I don't care because they're so comfortable and functional. I have a muscular posterior and can't stand women's pants that are so low rise. FYI, I'm 5'4" and wear a women's large in most pants, and the M-30 fits well...just a little long, so I roll them up a little.

I'm a short guy that typically wears a 28"-29" inseam. What are my options here, cuff the bottoms of a pair of 30"?

      Hi Raymond,

the 30" inseam is the shortest for the Stretch Zion Pant. I know a few people in your situation that have used a few different options. First you can always spend $10-$20 and get them professionally hemmed. Second option would be to buy some hem tape. There is either the iron on version or the super sticky version. Usually about $5.

Hi, these look great for my boyfriend who enjoys camping and climbing. He's 5'8, 135 pounds, 30" waist. Which size should I order?? thanks!

The small will definitely be on the looser/baggier side; I'm 5'11, 155 and a size small feels a touch loose on me. My boyfriend who's about the same dimensions as yours wears an extra-small and they fit him really nicely. Remember, these are stretchy. Hope this helps.

Are any of the pockets zippered and if so, which ones? Is the belt removable?

      Best Answer

      Hey!

So the cargo pocket on the left thigh has a zippered pocket. Zippered on top and on side for dual access.

      The belt is non-removable.

Does Prana make pants like this for ladies? A comparable pant?

I'm 5'9' 140 lbs, what size should I get? Pretty consistently a waist 32 across other brands. Sounds like prana has been changing up the sizing. My older prana pants from ~2005 say M on the tag, and I think it was either 32 or 30 inseam....they fit very well.

Did they change the fit of these pants...

Did they change the fit of these pants this year? I bought a pair last year that had a slimmer fit. I just bought the same size pair last month and they were baggy.
