Love it for what it is...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Going SUPER MOJO for what it is not.

Great short for everday wear as everyone else has pointed out. However, doesn't flex much and is a little short for my modest tastes. Will be trying out the super mojo which has spandex and should make weird bouldering moves more fun!

    Favorite workout shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

Really solid shorts that are great for pretty much any workout activity. I use them to go running, go to the gym, play basketball and just lounge around. Love the fact that it has 3 pockets, so if you go on a run you can easily secure a phone and wallet.

Seriously... Everyone should have at least 2 pairs. The waist is very adaptive to different sizes and is incredibly comfortable. The triple seam stitching and fabric is very durable and is of equal quality to Prana's stretch zion fabric line. Good to wear for any activity: running, climbing, swimming, or even taking rest days in the house.

    Very nice

    • Size Bought: small

Basically they were what I was looking for in shorts. They don't go too low but not too high just hanging out a little above the knee for me. I would say that these shorts run really big. The back pockets close via velcro which holds in shut extremely well. Its pretty solid shorts all over haven't took a dip in them yet so I'm not sure how fast they dry. But water sorta slides off em. I originally got them in medium but felt like they were a tad loose, so I got a small and they feel a tad snug so just sort of preference but I feel like I should be a large size so I would say they run big. ( just to clarify some more ) But in the end they are just some comfy shorts to do summer activities in which is tight.

    Awesome shorts!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

Really like these shorts so far. Very light and super comfortable, also great for pretty much anything from climbing to casual wear. The only thing that is a bit off is it seems like the waist is a little bit large. Other than that, these things are sweet!

    Almost Perfect

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

These are a perfect replacement for my favorite pair of shorts. Almost as if i had described by favorite tennis shorts to someone and they made them.

Big pockets (big enough for 2-3 tennis balls per pocket and I could still run without the balls falling out), stretchy comfortable waist band with no drawstring, one back pocket for your keys or something else like that, and a slightly rough but comfortable overall material. These are perfect adventure shorts for when you don't have space for many pairs and just need one good pair to wear and last for awhile or just lounging around the house on a Sunday morning.

The only reason why I knocked off a star is that I'm a short guy standing at 5'5'' and the size small feels big. I loved the size for watching shows with my girlfriend or drinking beer on the porch but they are too long and wide for running or other athletic pursuits where I prefer an above the knee short that is a bit more snug to avoid catching on sharp objects. For bigger guys with thicker legs these should be perfection in comfy shorts form, you could literally use them for any situation.

    Great short

I've been using these running, climbing, and at yoga. Great look, airy, and comfortable.

They run slightly big. I'm a 30 waist and purchased the small, the band is just stretched on my hips and will start to sag if I weight them with my phone. If you're on the low end for a size I'de consider sizing down.

    MOJO'S

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These shorts are my absolute favorite. I wear these things everyday. Great for climbing in the gym,the occasional yoga sesh, and impromptu swims in the lake. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a do everything in short.

    Great Shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: Medium (32 inch)

I love these shorts. I lost my favorite pair (of cotton shorts) last September on a trip in the Cascades. I have no idea how I could have lost them but I've had a short pants sized hole ever since. I've never really been into synthetics, mostly out of fear, but I've given these a shot and I love them. Absolutely great. They work well while I'm in a harness and they aren't restrictive in the slightest. I ever run in them and hangout around the house in them. I'll be buying another pair soon.

    Great for a beach vacation!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I got these as a gift for my boyfriend who recently got into climbing and he needed some good bottoms to climb in. The elastic waist make the short super comfortable on top of the really nice material of the short.
I ended up giving them to him early because we were leaving for a trip to hawaii and he needed swim trunks.. they worked great as swim trunks as well! He ended up wearing them almost all day everyday, he could wear them to the beach then as well as walking around town. They dried super quick and look nicer than regular swim trunks.
Needless to say, he loves them

    Just the best

If you've ever owned Patagonia Baggie Shorts, I know you're thinking you've found the best shorts in existence. I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that the Mojos will swoop that title in a heart beat.

    Love These!

I run in these shorts, mountain bike in them, walk in them, hike in them, go to the gym in them, I do everything in them. I have three pairs! They are just the best, everyone will tell you, I am endorsed by friends who are big, really big. Just buy a pair already. -Endorsed by Donald Trump (No really, they are pretty sweet!)

    Everyone Should Own a Pair.

These are my favorite shorts I have ever owned. They are durable comfortable and looks pretty good. If you wear shorts you should wear these.

Let me tell you about these shorts...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

They are awesome, seriously. I love the elastic band and fit. I’m 6’2, about 200lbs and the L size are a perfect fit. The material is durable, light, and breathable. I chose the Classic Blue, and as you can tell from the pictures, they are true to color. They rise above the knee, which is what I prefer for trail running and hiking. I really like how curved the front pockets are! Anyone who actually utilizes their pockets knows how frustrating it is to have things constantly falling out when you start setting a pace… not going to happen with these surefire shorts! The only thing I wouldn’t comment on (because I’m just picky) is the horizontal stretch across the thigh. The shorts fit great, but as you can tell, I have tree trunk thighs... so I noticed some restraint while squatting… but nothing that was uncomfortable. Bottom line you ask?! These shorts will perform for you, and will turn into you “go to” shorts for any activity. If you have any questions about them, feel free to shoot me and email! Talking gear is what I do!

The Most Comfortable Shorts on the PCT

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

These shorts are absolutely amazing. As a thru-hiker the 2 qualities I have to rave about the most are as follows:
    1. The elastic waistband - this perfectly designed waistband somehow eliminates the lower back chafe common on a thru-hike at the spot where your shorts and hip belt rub together day in and day out while sweating.

    2. They truly are quick-dry. I've been blessed with an amazing weather window on the pct (so far - I just got to Washington so knocking on wood). The worst rain we've had were tiny little drizzles 3 times. Yet each of these times the shorts have gotten soaked from the water on bushes as I walk past and then as soon as I'm clear again it won't be more than 30min before I can feel them getting noticeably dryer again. They also double as an awesome bathing suit for the much needed lake R&R during lunch breaks.

I am in love with these shorts and will probably own a few pair just to wear around the house as well as hike and climb in once I'm done.

Looks like a cool concept, but...any reports on that waistband? Looks like what I'd use for underwear. With no apparent belt provision, that better be one heavy duty elastic there.

The waistband is nice and rather wide so if will hold your shorts up if that is what you are concerned with. Due to it being elastic if you fill the pockets with rocks you may be sporting some crack or lose them completely.... I have bought several of these for the guys in my life and they are all really stoked on them.

Heard great things about these. Sad to find out that the smallest size, XS, is made for a 30 in. waist. Wish I could buy a pair for a 28 in. waist.

    Hey guys!

I did take a look around and saw that these do fit pretty true to size- so the Small would be ideal for a 30 inch waist.

If you were wanting to just try them and push your luck a little we can create an order for you, ship them for free and offer a free return label if they didn't fit.

Has anyone had these fall off when bodysurfing, diving, swimming a rapid etc..?

My husband has two pairs of these that he uses for climbing and swimming. He's never had them come off while diving or swimming a class II-III rapid. I don't think he's ever body-surfed in them though. These are his favorite shorts.

What type of material is this, is it stretchy?

The material is a 100% lightweight polyester microfiber with mesh lined pockets. In addition to the plush elastic waistband, the shorts themselves also have some stretch. Many people like their soft feel against the skin, versatility and range of motion.

I am nervous. I always wear a 32. I ordered the Medium stretch zion pants and I loved them so much I ripped the tags off and wore them, but now regret it. I have like an inch and a half between me and the pant when pulled. The tab holds them up though. SO my thoughts. Do they run big or small? Mixed reviews here..

I am not sure if you are asking about the Stretch Zion in your post or the Mojo short that this post is attached to. The Stretch Zion seem to run a little bigger, I wear a 30/32 jean and I fit in a small St. Zion. As for the mojo I would definitely size up. I wear a medium in the mojo and I like the way they fit.

Cannot tell - do these have a mesh liner? If not, suggestions of a brand that might?

Does the waist band stretch out over time?...

Does the waist band stretch out over time? I'm deciding between a large and extra large, both of which fit and stay up, but I'm worried the extra large will stretch over time and not stay up as well.

Will Backcountry be getting these shorts in other sizes (smalls and mediums) any time soon? I'd rather get them here than anywhere else, you know. Thanks in advance!

Do these have a drawstring or anything to stop them from coming off when you dive in the water? If not any other suggestions for a do it all short that would work in this setting (hiking, climbing, swim/surf)? Thanks!

Nope, gotta put your faith in the elastic band on these puppies..so if you want to wear them on land and sea they'll be great..if you dive however, well I just don't recommend doing that in these, unless you're going for the exhibitionist look when you emerge from the depths..sans Mojo shorts. For something like that you might be better off w the Stretch Zion, a cotton blend that will still dry pretty quick. Take a look:
