Beware between colors, sizing off
As others have mentioned, sizing is off depending on the color. I purchased the bronze and they ran small. I’m a solid 6, and I own a pair of Prana Halle’s in 6. They’re actually a little big on me. The Kayla Jean is skin tight in the same size (5’6’’135 lbs, muscular thighs). Not comfortable or flattering for anyone with curves. The material is lovely though. Wondering which color runs true to size if any?

I ordered both the green and red jeans and tried them both on. I would have kept both pairs, but after wearing them around the house for a day they began to stretch out at the knees and waist. I usually wear a size 0 in jeans, but this fabric tends to stretch out a bit too much for someone who wants a slim-fitting pair of jeans. They're awesome otherwise, but I'll probably be shopping in the petite sizes from Prana from now on!

First jeans I've found that fit nicely in the hips/thigh but don't cut into the waist. Love the colors, I ended up buying two. Comfortable and cute. They do seem to attract cat fur, maybe after several washes this will go away. Favorite jeans hands down.

The pants fit well around the waist but were a little too loose in the thigh area. The fabric has some stretch to it and feels nice.

I'm usually between a size 4 and size 6, and opted for the 6 in these since I'm not a fan of super tight pants. I sure wish I'd gone for the 4, though, because the 6s are too big around the waist, even with a belt. I unfortunately maintained hope that they'd be just about right after washing, but that was not the case. On the upside, the fabric is soft--just too strange of a fit to make them work.

I ordered these pants in two colors in a size 6, and oddly the grey color fit like a size 2-4. So be aware that not all of the colors have the same fit.

Comfortable fabric and great fit

This is my fourth pair. I take size 6 in Prana pants (tight fit). If you like a looser fit and need a larger waist size up. These are very comfortable and wash/dry well, maybe 1/4" to 1/2" shrinkage in length. The waist doesn't gap and they stay up better than any other brand. Someone mentioned too much stretch. If that's an issue the Prana London jeans are a much heavier denim with very little stretch. I have both and these are my favorites.

Too Much Stretch

The good: mid-rise for on-the-go versatile wear on city streets or crag trails, full length, incredibly soft and stretchy. The bad: dye bleeding even after washing, the zipper wouldn't stay up, and after a few hours of wear the waist lost its form. Overall, I found the Kayla pant comfortable and stylish. The biggest drawback was the stretched out waist that had these great fitting jeans falling down midway through the day. I believe I did try a smaller size in store and could not get them up my thighs. Size 8 felt wonderful until they didn't. I ended up returning these after one trip for this reason. Regarding fit, I'm 5'7" and the 32" regular inseam can be cuffed or left down without feeling too short or long. The pockets weren't huge but deep enough.

I have three going on four pairs of these jeans, they are my go to and favorite pair of jeans to wear to work, dinner, or on a short hike after work. They fit true to size and have a high enough back to not show the crack! ill even wear them in the spring and fall weekend hikes! These are a must have for any active woman just hoping to have a pair of jeans that support her in her activities!

Best Jeans Ever

I am a little over 5'9" and somewhere between 135 and 140 pounds and the size 6 fit tall fit like a glove. I usually wear either a 6 or 8 depending on the brand so I ordered both the 6 and the 8 to try them out. I fit in the 8s as well, but chose the 6s because they were a little more form fitting in the crotch and butt area. The longs are perfect and give me the extra couple inches that most pants do not. They're also classified as mid-rise, which I totally agree with. I'm French and hold my weight around the love handle/belly area and these pants do a fantastic job of coming over those places to prevent the dreaded muffin top. Additionally, I've had these pants for about a month now and wear them constantly and haven't had any stretching/sagging issues that other folks have reported.

Size down
I’m a size 4 in most Prana pants, and a 2 in the Kayla. Nice length, super skinny leg. Love the denim/denim color. However, the material is very thin. Not my style, so I returned them. I prefer the Prana Geneva jeans- slim, straight leg, and slightly thicker material.

I like these jeans for their comfy stretch, however I prefer the Kara fit . These have a little extra room around the waste area that makes them a little saggy. They are still cute and quality jeans, I just personally prefer the more fitted Kara.

After hearing from loads of folks how much they loved these, I was excited to try them out. The size 8 fit me well (I wear a 29 jean usually), but I found the rise just too low for my body. They are really comfortable and seem like they would last well. Alas, I'm going to check out some other options from Prana with a higher rise.

These jeans are always a hit. I own a few pairs and the sizing is perfect. I particularly like how well the short length fits someone who’s 5’ 4”, but the regular length also looks good on my height! I usually wear a size 4 in jeans but for whatever reason the 2 fits perfectly. In addition to a great fit, they’re soft, stretchy, and very comfortable. Love the mid-rise waist, too 👌🏽

Cute Except For Sagging

I have these pants in a different color and absolutely love them but this pair seems to fit a little different. I don't have a butt and I feel like I'm constantly pulling them up. I also feel like there is extra fabric in the crotch area. They fit perfectly everywhere else and I can't imagine going down a size but I wish they fit the same as my old pair from a year ago. I'll still keep them because I do love how soft and comfortable they are. Works for climbing but wouldn't wear them for a nice night out.

I have these pants in a couple different colors (various shades of demin) and love them. The material is stretchy and very comfortable. Like the previous reviewer, I prefer this style to the Kara which I find to fit much smaller. However, I recently ordered the dark mud color and the material was quite a bit different than the other ones I own - less stretchy and much tighter fitting so I ended up returning them.

Just bought my second pair. I've enjoyed several pairs of Prana's Kara pants over the years, but I really prefer that Kayla. They are super comfy like the Kara, but the higher rise means I can actually wear these without a belt. I'm a size 6 in the Kara and a size 4 in the Kayla.

I second this! The antique bronze I purchased in 6 regular fit like a 2-4. I am a very solid 6 and the bronze jeans were skin tight. 5’6” 135 lbs. They fit like skinny jeans on top. These are not good for athletic thighs unfortunately.
