Long pants that are actually long!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 14Tall
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 190lbs

Honestly had to swing through to give these pants a shout-out. After years of too-short hiking pants, I'd just switched to capris with socks like a goofball till I saw these babies. Lo and behold: the talls are actually long! They're a bit tight around the knees at first, where the straps and snaps are. Otherwise really solid pants and look cute on. I was debating between the two sizes and went with the larger, which I don't regret and would recommend. There's a cinch string at the waist, making them adjustable there, but a smaller size may not have been broad enough in the hips.

    Awesome pant

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

These Halle's are the Stretch Zion of the Women's line. Great fit, great stretch, and the thing my girlfriend likes the most about them is that they have both the buckle closure and the string closure to secure the waist of them. Overall such a great pant!

    Love these pants

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave these pants to my wife as a gift. She loves them!. The sizing seems right on. They are very comfortable and great not only for the outdoors, but for any activity. She highly recommends them.

    Great pants

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My mom wanted some pants to wear for hiking and 4-wheeling in the mountains. The thistle color has a little bit of purple in it - which she couldn't tell from the picture online, but she likes it in person.

    Way too long!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 12L
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

I really like the fit and feel of these hiking pants. The Regular length is a little too short (I'm 5'10" with long legs), but the Long is way too long. A 34" inseam would be enough for me and probably most other tall women.

    Good Pros, Unfortunate Cons

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 14/L
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I like a lot of things about these pants.
Pros: Love the stretchy, breathable fabric! Good fit, relatively flattering, and I bought the Coal color and really like it
Cons: The drawstring in addition to the buttons and zipper fly seems superfluous and just adds to cutting in around the waist which isn't very flattering. I'm 6' tall and just generally order everything long when it's offered but these are INSANELY long!! I tried the Reg as well but those felt just a hair too short so I stuck with the Longs but they're REALLY long!
Pockets. Pockets Pockets Pockets. At the risk of going on a feminist tirade, I'll try and keep my comments brief. I DO NOT understand why women's pants never seem to have deep pockets, it truly blows my mind. On jeans or more fashion-y pants/trousers, fine. I know its supposed to give you a better silhouette or whatever. But Prana is an outdoor company, where it seems women who are trying to spend time outside would come to buy clothing. WHY do the men get the deep pockets and the women dont?! Even dresses nowadays are starting to have more pockets!!! The hand pockets on these pants are useless and there is a larger zipper pocket farther down the thigh, but my phone barely fits in it and it's a weird place to have your phone sausaged into your pants pocket.... same with the back pockets, I could potentially throw my phone back there but there are snap flaps over to the top of the pocket so it would look super weird to put my phone there too.
Ok, I'll end my rant there, but this underlying sexist BS just really burns me up. C'mon Prana..

    Amazing fit disappointing fabric quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 200lbs

These run a bit large, I'm centrally a size 14 but the 12 foot great. These fit a thicker thigh, stretch, move great and are generally my favorite pants. I've only owned them for 2 months and the fabric is wearing/piling in the thighs. Even with the disappointing fabric, I would still buy a second pair because the fit is really unparalleled.

    LOVE THESE!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 6
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 150lbs

These are my second pair of these pants and I couldn't be more in love. Perfect for short or long distance hiking, very comfy and durable. Prana never disappoints!

    Love!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

Got these for a friend - feedback below:
"While I usually prefer a tapered fit I needed a long pant that would be cool and keep the bugs away for long days outside in the tropics. These fit the bill. I absolutely love prana stretch Zion fabric, it’s perfect for pretty much anything you get into. I did size down a full size from what I normally wear and they fit great!"

    Cumfy but too big

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 10
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 155lbs

4/5 stars. These pants rock! They are comfortable, not overly tight,etc.. HOWEVER: Please note that, if you plan to actuslly do any physical activity in them they will stretch out, almost within 10 min of wearing them. I wrote to Prana about this, as 2 of my friends have the same exact problem. I am 5'7.5" , and generally around 155 lbs. I am ALWAYS a size 10 in pants but went down to an 8 in these after Prana graciously took a return and surprisingly an 8 was sill of perfect length. They dont shrink back to original size either.

Overall, I love them and would buy again.

    Great...but

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 2 long
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 130lbs

I have used these pants a good bit and I love them so comfy and you can really move in them, but I had both buttons pop off while I was out at a restaurant...thank goodness I had a belt on.

    Love these!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 0
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 110lbs

These pants are the best, Ive had them for about 4 years now (the same pair)... I wear them for work ( as a strength coach) because they look professional, but they also are great for backpacking, climbing, yoga, etc. They're durable, comfortable, stretchy, great looking... what more could a girl ask for?

    Do-it-all pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 145lbs

I've worn these traveling, hiking, to work, and just around the house ... and they're always comfortable, always presentable. They do have a somewhat relaxed fit, but I find the sizing pretty true to my other Prana pants, mainly the Kara jeans. Like that the thigh pocket is just big enough to fit my iphone 7!

    Nice quality pants

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 8
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 145lbs

I bought these for my daughter however had to return because they were too big. I would recommend sizing down on these.

    Wow! Great Pants!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

    • Size Bought: 0
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I don't write reviews unless I really like something or really don't like something. These pants fall into the "love" category! The fabric is lightweight and durable and the scotchguard coating is a nice touch. They feel like they will hold up, while being so comfortable and not stiff at all. The cut is very flattering. I am 5"2 and 115 lbs. and am so glad I sized down to a "0" as this is the perfect size and I feel the 2 would've been too loose. I got the green casper, which is close to a camo color but leans on the green side - a very nice color. The side zipper pocket is nice and the double snaps for gathering up, is a nice touch. Even the short size is a little long on me when not up, but that's always the case for me. I love these pants and although a little pricey, I understand why.

    My Girlfriend's Favorite Pants!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these pants for my girlfriend and she loves them! She says they are really comfortable and great for climbing and hiking. They have held up really well.

    Held up for long trek

I used to swear by running leggings but finally bought two pairs of these for a recent 16 day trek in Nepal, and I don’t know if I’ll ever hike in leggings again. I wore the same pair for hiking each day and after over 2 weeks of straight use they still fit great; a tiny bit stretched out but nothing the waist tie couldn’t handle. Super comfortable for hiking in and they are indeed quite stain resistant. The leg pocket was a great fit for my oversized phone and easy to get to for quick photos.

I am 5’7”, 145 lbs and the size 4 fits perfectly.

    Versatile pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 2
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 120lbs

I bought these pants specifically for a trip to Norway and Sweden. I only wanted to bring one pair of pants that I could use for all thing and these fit the bill. I used them for hiking during the day and depending on the temperature I could roll them up or down if needed. I liked the boot cut because it was easy to wear them with flats out to dinner or in the city and not feel like I was wearing hiking pants. They worked well in the rain and dried fast. I usually wear a size 4 and I had to exchange them for a size 2.

    Versatile pants

I think I am in the minority but I just really don't like these pants. I think what does it is the flared leg. I HATE it. Why would I want that when I am trying to be active climbing, biking, etc. I want a slim, straight, or boot cut but never flared. I am 5'10", 145 lb, long legs/arms, average torso and I got a 4 regular length which fit perfectly. I was so mad about these pants for so long and always wanted to buy the men's version but I guess since Prana came out with the Briann pant I will try those. I prefer BD or Patagonia pants for climbing and really adventuring in though — they outshine the Halle pants.

    Unanswered Question

What model year are these pants, or, do the pictures show the exact model year being sold? I ask because I have a pair from 2ish years ago (most easily descernible by the smaller right thigh pocket) and the pants fit MUCH better than the updated model. I’ve been looking all over for any of the older stock left. Is this it?!

    Unanswered Question

Are these pants close to low rise? In the pictures it looks like they are.

    Unanswered Question

How long is the inseam in a 12 long? And do these truly run big or are they just a baggy fit? My concern is if I size down would they be too tight in the waistband. I'm fit but I'm apple shaped so waistbands are my problem in women's clothing since they tend to be cut smaller in the waist. Any advice on if I should really Size down? For those that did size down, did it make the pant fitted?

Is size 0 only available in Tall? How does the sizing & fit compare to the Kara jean?

    Hey Chelsea,

The fit of the halle is more relaxed compared to the kara. The kara is also a little more vanity sized (runs one size smaller) so I would think that the Halle runs true to size and more relaxed.

    Thanks!

    Kaley
