From the crag to the bar, comfortable pants all the way.

Load the pack onto the dog, throw on your shoes, and head out on the trail in the comfortable Men's Ecliptic Pants from Prana. An elastic waistband helps keep them up so you don't even need a belt, which is great if you happen to be wearing a pack. A gusseted crotch allows for excellent freedom of movement when you're climbing, and the cinch system on the hems also comes in handy when you're on the wall. Drop-in hand pockets and the zippered side stash pocket allow you to keep small items secure.

    Too tight

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Med

If I lift my leg the pants stop movement completely at 90°, they're simply too tight. When seated there is not enough fabric to prevent the dreaded plumber look. Great product, would love to keep them, but not for my frame. 5'9", 175lb, 50+ recent marathons, and I like to do squats.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I love the look and sturdiness of these pants. They don't seem to breathe as well as I would like, but for those climbing in slightly cooler temperatures, this may be a good thing. I still highly recommend them though.

These are my favorite pants to wear. That good enough? I can cinch off the legs, no roll, not tight. Great range, solid movement. Theyre not too chinsy light but definitely not over done. Can wear most seasons. They're so comfortable and just freedom-enhancing, when i'm lit, at times i have to make sure i am still wearing pants. Even with weight in my pockets, they are adorned with bare minimum intrusion. They say, " We are pants and will garuntee coverage of your privates; but the picture we paint will be pants-less, uncontacted-tribe-like freedom."

Fully featured and well thought out

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants are awesome. The fabric is light yet still manages to be both warm/breathable. The cuff cinches around the ankles allow for you to quickly roll the cuffs up out of the way of heel and toe hooks while climbing. The fit is fairly baggy (partially because I'm right between an XS and S) and the drawcord around the waist allows me to wear them without a belt.

I have had a different experience than the previous reviewer. I have kneebarred without a kneepad in these and have seen no abrasions or tears. The fabric appears pretty durable to me for how thin and breathable it is.

I rarely write 5 star reviews. These pants are worth it!

Great for climbing or just hanging out in. Very soft and stretchy. In my opinion they do run a little on the larger size but they do have a string you can tie right where the button is on the front of the pants so that helps! Also they do have a drawstring at the bottom of the pants so they wont drag or anything if they are a little long with sandals or climbing shoes

I dig the look, feel, and fit of these pants, but they are EXTREMELY easy to tear. My first time going out with them they developed two rips. I wasn't even climbing! I definitely would not use these for climbing, or really anything other than lounging around the house. I would return them if I could, bummer. I am a huge fan of Prana products usually but these disappointed.

I think stretch zion is suitable for you.
As you know, Prana's line up is separated to Yoga and Climbing.
Maybe Epic pants is more near to Yoga line.
In my opinion, Despite weakness, Epic pants is so comfortable and cotton based fabric is very nice to skin.
