    Great Flannel

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

I really like this flannel. It is very warm. It was heavier than i expected so just beware. It fits true to size and love the color.

    Compliments already!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"

This shirt has worked great for my boyfriend, who is a HUGE fan of flannels. He loves the lining and the fit is good for him. It doesn't look too baggy. He has had coworkers already mention how much they like it.

Warm and easy on the eyes

Gorgeous pattern and the waffle layer underneath for some non bulky warmth. I got both colors. I guess I got the green from the other company who shall not be named (I'm sorry Backcountry, you are my favorite though).

    Poorly executed

In a nutshell, the lining precludes the shirt's ability to not be wrinkled. Yes, it's warm; yes, it's a great looking pattern; yes, it fits properly. But no, far too expensive for a shirt that only ends up making you look like a slob. And as my title suggests, said wrinkles are inherent from the way the lining is sewn into the shirt, ie, ironing won't help.

I mostly agree- there IS a problem with the liner of the bright green + black 2017 version. It appears that the way the liner is sewn in allows it to bunch separately from the outer flannel layer except for at the bottom hem where they are sewn together. After a couple of times in the washer and dryer, the thermal lining and/or the stitching threads seem(s) to have shrunk disproportionately to the flannel material: there is an odd 2+" static cling-looking wave or ridge that formed just above the hem, more noticeable in the back. Looks ridiculous now. I fancy myself a bit of a mcgyver in the laundry room but i could not steam/stretch/soak/pray this away.

Fits good, looks good, keeps me warm!

I've seen reviews about how some other guys say they hate how bulky it makes them look. It had me a little worried at first to be honest with y'all but, I went ahead and bought it. If you are narrow framed and, not broad shouldered nor chested I could see why some one would say that. I'm a broad man, I'm not of modelesque physique but I do have a muscular build about me. My build is that of a farm hand or blue collar laborer seeing as those are the professions I have held. It fits me very well I love the way it looks and it keeps me warm. I fill it out with just enough room to spare for comfort. Perhaps about half an inch or less of free space? It just feels right I hope that helps. I'm a cold blooded man because a Georgia winter is very cold to me! Shoot I get cold being in the house. We just recently had a cold snap and snow storm. I wore it during that and this shirt kept me comfortably warm in 27 degree weather. I wore it in the house as well when the ambient temperature was set at about 75. Not to hot for me but like i said.. I think I must be cold blooded or something. I carry my wallet in the chest pocket, I like that, feels useful. Over all definitely a warm good lookin shirt I'd recommend.

Edit: True to size after washed+dried

I've reviewed this before.... Fiance now demands another so he doesn't wear the same thing all the time. I gave dimensions for my current guy.

after several washes, the inner lining / stitching of one of the two I bought him seems to have shrunk disproportionately to the flannel fabric; now an extensive static-like wrinkle seems permanently stuck at the bottom near the hem. Maybe someone accidentally nuked this thing in a hot dryer but dang, i couldn't fix it unless I released the stitching that joined the two fabrics in a couple of places.

Great Addition to my Quiver of Flannel

Just picked this up a week ago and have fell in love. Right in time for some good November weather in Utah. Great for cool, dry and windless days. Not the best for inside wear because of the lining but I could wear this outside all day if I am not working too hard. If you look up "super-casual" in the dictionary this will be the picture you see.

This item is certainly bulky but that just comes with territory (it is lined). I am approximately 5'11" with a spine length of 18 inches (short torso/long legs). Waist 38". This shirt fit me well.

    Warm but bulky

The shirt looks great on the website, and I' m a huge fan of the colors. The flannel is extremely warm, but it was much thicker than I was expecting. In the end I just looked really bulky and didn't feel like I'd wear it much.

Over the years, I've bought this LINED shirt for three men in my life. Don't be a joey, read the description. My fiance tends to be in-between sizes with Prana (and smartwool and kuhl). XL in the Black Asylum works better than the other prana XL shirts+jackets he's tried, but it depends on style- he has a Large Woodman 2016 flannel. 6'2" 215# 35-36 waist, 42-44 chest.

    Nope

I got the black one. It looks waaaay better on the website than when it shows up. It’s bulky and frumpy and just not nice. TBH I missed the description detailing it was lined. If I’d seen that I wouldn’t have ordered it. And on the style side, 2 pocket flannels are tough to pull

Loved the colors but with the liner it was too bulky and just didn't feel right for me... I might wear it every now and then but for a hundred dollars I think I can do better.... I have some Prana shirts and they are some of my favorites just not this time....
