The peak of performance.
Boasting premium materials and tech-savvy details, the Pow Vertex GTX Warm Glove offers next-level protection from winter's onslaught of deep powder dumps, icy winds, and frigid temperatures. Its waterproof/breathable Gore-Tex membrane sheds the deepest powder and wettest spring slush, ensuring complete protection from outside moisture and precipitation. The Pittards Oiltac leather palm not only delivers an ultra-supple feel for luxurious comfort, but it's also textured with a dragon-etched palm for incredible grip and dexterity.
The PrimaLoft Gold and Grip Control insulation keeps warmth from escaping through the glove so your fingers don't freeze. Pleasantly soft to the touch, the glove's micro-fleece lining wraps your hands in all-day comfort. Another cool feature is the glove's backhand compression foam, which adds protection from nasty falls and unexpected spills on the slopes. Adding tech interactivity for snapping pics and answering calls, the glove's touchscreen-compatible AX SuedeConnect fingertips allow you to control smartphones and media players without exposing your skin to the cold.

POW with a punch!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've spent 2 seasons in the Vertex and with proper care for this full leather glove I can't find a reason to buy anything else! As with any leather glove/mitt they need to be treated after the material gets too dirty and begins to absorb water. If you don't clean and treat the glove, the leather will get damp and the Gore-tex lining will have problems breathing, leading to sweaty and cold hands. From my experience the Vertex really performs its best at 0-35 degree temps (typical ski season temps) and it doesn't hurt that the detail and feel of this glove is killer!
I have worn these for 20-40 days per season the last two years. They are fine. They are not waterproof but highly water repellent. They are fairly warm and good down to about the mid teens in Fahrenheit. After that your hands will get a bit cold. My biggest complaint is they don't breath. Or maybe my hands sweat a lot. They would get wet from the inside and outside. Inside sweat, outside snow. I'm now looking for a more waterproof glove. They have also busted a seam along my index finger making them useless unless redeem or glued. For not much use that's just poor quality. The sensor fingers work well for a few months and then wear out. Finally, the cuff opening is too small. If your hands get snowy or wet it is very difficult to get them in the glove again.
Just got these--haven't actually tested them outside or on the mountain. I'll update this later in the season. FIRST IMPRESSION: they are Awesome. They are very soft and comfortable. The leather is very soft right away. The insulation feels adequate and doesn't slip around inside. The cuff is tight and comfortable. There is a reinforced hole for the wrist leash which is a must as they always rip out. I got the natural color not the black in a large. I do not have big hands at all and these are perfect. If you can palm a basketball (I can't) get an X large.
