I like the idea behind the design that Pow has for these gloves. The flip up, and off ,of the top of the mitten, provides some great versatility. It gets a little interesting with the zipper on top, which does help here and there with getting the glove on and off, especially if you have fat fingers, but personally, I think they could of added some elastane material, and the problem is essentially solved.
I typically run pretty warm when I am skiing, I do charge relatively hard, so having a glove made mostly of fleece just isn't what I am personally looking for, while skiing. I do think they will be better in the spring skiing conditions, when it is already hot out, and I don't have too many layers on, and simply am out to have some fun spring laps.
The design has some other interesting parts to it, like the loops on the bottom of the thumbs, and then there is a loop on top of the middle finger, I haven't quite figured out what the best use is for this yet.
I do like that the NikWax was included, so I don't have to run to the store to get that and apply it, to waterproof them, but I personally haven't found NikWax to work too well on fleece. Other than that the 35% off backcountry was running them for was a great price, and I keep them handy in my truck as a backup pair at the moment.

Im really beginning to love these flip gloves for the accessibility they offer while still being very warm.
can you show a picture without the mitten top so we can see the finger portion?
